Econ and Chem are both great subjects! However consider which one fits your desired degree/occupation area better. Commerce/finance/business etc- choose economics. Science/medicine/etc- Chem.

Try and accelerate your subjects through tutoring/your school's own program or by yourself. Acceleration can help you get ahead and give you more time to revise once you are finished your hsc courses (useful if u consider picking up 4U).

Matt here, doing the subjects in my bio this year. Aiming for band sixes in all 3 of this years subjects so i can get my course.

How did you study and achieve a state rank for Chemistry? (Personally am aiming for 92+). How many hours a day/week did you study a day and how did you integrate past papers and/or trials (if at all) into your regular study routine.

Because some elements are quirky like that, I dont think we are actually tested on elements that don't follow the 'standard configuration'. Dont quote me on this but if we are taught this I think the valencies are given to us.

Honestly mate your school won't affect your performance really if you try your absolute hardest. I go to a school which is ranked like 300th or so and I still got a 98 in one of my subjects. Do well and get good ranks and good marks for yourself in the final exams and you can't go wrong. If you...

Seems pretty solid to me, I definitely recommend doing advanced over standard (god i really wish i did advanced). Your subjects are well diversified and if you put in decent effort and perform well you would be looking at a nice atar with them.
