How much to study in Hols?

Um, all my marks were around the 70s, and I got a UAI over 90. HSC marks are usually higher than school marks, so you seem to have a good chance of getting over 90.

media personalities that you dont like

They played those twins on that old show "Full House." (You know-with Danny and Uncle Joey and DJ...). And they got their own show awhile back, too.

    Should i get a tutor?

I didn't have one and I got in the low 90s. And I don't regret never getting one. I would only bother if you really couldn't keep up with a certain subject...then it would be worth it.

How much to study in Hols?

Holy shit-I did 8 hours a day the day before major exams...other than that, maybe 2 hours study once a week, max! Seriously, don't study too much now...you'll be totally burned out.:(

media personalities that you dont like

I'm putting my hand up for the olson twins two...they should have gone out the door with Full House. ROVE?! I can kinda understand Dylan..but Rove?!

    Bands that you hate

Can you reccommed some good ones? Off the top of my head, I seriously can't think of a US band that's come out recently that I've heard, which hasn't been utter shite...

How much did Yr 12 2002 Study during their December/January Holidays (2001)?

I did none. Literally-none. And I remember I had a huge assmessment task due Friday the first week back, so that wasn't the wisest move...;)

    Nooby tutors - your thoughts

I'd feel more comfortable with someone that had recently finished the HSC, cos they would be really familiar with the syllabus and the exams, and it'd be better just having someone close to my age...but I'd have to know they did really well in that subject, and I wouldn't expect them to be...

    Avril Lavigne...

I think she actually looks better in those pics than she does all done up... I would never have guessed that was her just by looking at them.

    10 units

But I'd say thats just because in general, people who chose to do more than the minimum units are people who are more focused, and willing to put in more work...therefore, are also the people who are getting high UAIs. Doing less is a definate advantage I'd say, but of course, if you're...

Write OR Type notes? Which is better?

Yeah-mind maps are usually the best way to organise notes. Cos you can see the layout and the key words in your head when you're in an exam, and you can use shapes/colour to distingusish groups of ideas together, and you always remember that. And-it it causes you to actually think when you're...

    10 units

I did 10. I dropped SoftwareD&D after year 11 (the teacher was hopeless, and everyone else was dropping it so there'd be very few face to face lessons...). I stand by my decision. It gives you an advantage over everyone doing 12 units or more.

Write OR Type notes? Which is better?

Pro's for handwritten notes: -Info tends to sink in more -You practice your writing, which is helpful for exams - It keeps you away from a computer, and with that, the tempations of evils such as MSN! -You tend to be more careful with what you're writing, because you can't just delete what...

    Bands that you hate

*looks over shoulder* Who, me? If so-Yes...yes I am.:)

    Bands that you hate

I don't like Linkin Parks music, and that whole genre...but I'm not against the actual band. At least they're real, unlike so many others. *cough*Avril*cough*

ne1 put their notes on a website?

I so wish I found this site during year 12...I only came across it when I had like 2 HSC exams to go-too late to be finding new stuff to go through. le sigh.
  18. B

How FAST did year 12 go?!

Is it just me...or did year 12 just fly by?! I can barely even remember a thing that happened in the first half of the year. When I think about year 12, all I remember is the 3 weeks break between school and the HSC, and the exams themselves. All the rest of it-classes, free periods, lunchtimes...

    what uni and course?

Oh, and I'm doing Applied Science (Speech Pathology) at Sydney Uni...hopefully. I cleared last years cut off by 2.75 marks, so fingers crossed!
  20. B

    what uni and course?

Theres no guarantees...courses just go by popularity, so while they'd usually be petty consistent, you can never know for sure. But I'd say theres a pretty damn good chance of getting in.
