If only "free" meant windows users could download it as well. I wanted to dual-boot it with win7. Damn.

    Multiple Choice

From what it looks like as long as none of us have fucked up you're at 24/25 for multiple choice. That's 96%. edit: 19 is D and 20 is C

    Multiple Choice

Digital itself operates off of the principle of binary code and the transfer of bits of data, or switches of "offs" and "ons". D is just a fucked up representation of binary.

Got 30% or so for the wind thing as well. I think I used the wrong standard deviation for that s.d. question fml. I used the sample standard deviation. Ew.

    General Thoughts: General Mathematics

You might be right and I might be wrong. I added 250 to the initial M value (her monthly repayments) and then just substituted that into the present value formula with the appropriate numbers. M x (present value formula stuff) gave about $285k so that was how much she would have contributed...

    General Thoughts: General Mathematics

It has to be an annuity as he made constant repayments iirc. My value was like $285k or something so he was short about $15k. Anyone else do the same or am I wrong? I'm probably wrong. Hayley, 94/100 will probably scale to 9387878439787% dw. I feel like I got about 85% which will scale to low...

    General Thoughts: General Mathematics

The one where they repay an extra 250 a month you just add that value to M (in the annuity formula... I think the initial M was 2000 or so and then you simply added the 250) and figured out if it reached $300k in 20 years. My answer was that it didn't.

    Band 6 cut-off ?

Low 80's surely... Hardest general maths test since 2001 (or that's how many past papers I've done anyway).

Anyone else think this exam was harder/more time consuming compared to past years ?

Re: Anyone else think this exam was harder/more time consuming compared to past years Anyone have any estimates as to what external raw mark will scale to 90/band 6? I have no fucking clue how it works. Does it scale according to how everyone else went? If so, predictions on band 6 cut off...

Anyone else think this exam was harder/more time consuming compared to past years ?

Re: Anyone else think this exam was harder/more time consuming compared to past years I got 95% in the CSSA trials and averaged about 90% in the past HSC papers. I'll be fucking surprised if I get over 80% in that test.
