Think about it this way, if your coming first second or third then it makes sense that you should get the highest mark unless the school is extremly bad where every1 isnt very smart

I dont know what to say, based on ur description its going to be very hard but if he does band 5's and 6's and he applys for engineering they might give him bonus points to add onto his uai plus he can speak to the dean of engineering and stuff or he could go to uws and then transfer. Good luck mate
