    Fave line from a movie

Mine would have to be some of the lines from Dirty Harry. Harry Callahan: "Well, when an adult male is chasing a female with intent to commit rape, I shoot the bastard. That's my policy. " Mayor: "Intent? How did you establish that?" Harry Callahan : "When a naked man is chasing a woman...

    Australian Politics

Re: Australian Politics Chatter Thread Rees is a first term MP for Toongabbie, minister for Emergency Services. He was a former Cheif of Staff for Iemma and Carr (I think.) Previous to that, he was a garbage collector.

    What option are you doing?

Re: options? Yeah, we are doing medical physics. It looks interesting enough.

    What option are you doing?

Re: options? :( Meh, anyway, we didn't get a choice in what option we were going to study.

    Australian Politics

Re: Australian Politics Chatter Thread Yeah, Rees looks like a safe bet for leader. Everyone else is either too incompetant , inexperienced or able to be traced to the "old guard" of Iemma and Carr.

    Cricket Season 2007/2008

Totally agree, he was one of the greats of early Australian cricket. It was unfortunate that he was taken to early by kidney problems in 1915.

    Speech task tips

    Yep, so do I.

    Speech task tips

Yeah, use gestures, espeically if you wish to make a passionate speech. Move around a little, don't stand bolted to the floor, but don't go do laps of the room, a few paces around should suffice. Outside of that, as others have said, use a differing tone in voice, engage the audience and use...

    Wimbledon

I practically agree with that entire post. However, I think If he loses the US Open and then the Australian Open, then we could re-evaluate his position at the top. It is too early to call I think, even though he has lost Wimbeldon and the Australian Open, two of his favourites.

    Feelings towards year 12

Really, Year 12 I have found so far is an over-rated experience.

    Wimbledon

I like Federer. I don't have any one particular favourite tennis player, but I enjoy watching him play. I like the way he is generally so clinical and dominates. I don't think we can call him the best of all time yet, I think in order to do that he would have to win the French Open, which is...

    The F1 Thread

re: The Official F1 Thread If anyone wonders why Lewis has detractors, they just had to listen to James Allen commentates, did anyone else think he blew a load when Lewis crossed the line? I must admit however, it was a great race for Lewis, he showed a great amount of skill and composure...

    Tour De France 2008

I have no idea, but I guess while he is there, he is in with a chance. Now, a question. The Green Jersey, the sprinter's jersey, how are points allocated for that? Is it like there is point A and then say five kilometres down the road is point B and whoever does that section in the...

Which subject is best and why? Chem, physics, bio

I agree with Kat that it depends upon what you are interested in. I don't to biology, so I cannot comment on it, but a number of my friends do it and don't enjoy it. I do both physics and chemistry and in Year 11 I found physics to be better, but now I have found that in Year 12 chemistry is...

    The F1 Thread

re: The Official F1 Thread What a great result for Mark Webber, to qualify second is a really great achievement. However, one wonders how much fuel he has on board. Also, I am a little skeptical on how the Red Bull will shape up against the chasing Ferrari, McLaren and BMW, but hopefully he...

    Digital Fortress by Dan Brown

Lol. I actually think Angels and Demons > The Da Vinci Code. I haven't read any of Brown's other stuff.
