The only maths I find to be necessary in normal every day life is consumer arithmetic... Unless you're doing engineering and that maths related stuff, I probably won't be using any of this geometry etc.

I moved from Advanced to Standard after doing Advanced for a year... Advanced people are more capable - obviously... Not saying Standard AREN'T of course =D But all extension English students have to do Advanced english so you'll be competing with the EXTENSIONS!!

I think it's good it's compulsory, but I don't think it's THAT helpful... In a way, it is. Like someone said, some people can't even use the you're/your and their/there/they're!! And then there's the totally wrong "yous" - there is NO such things as YOUS, people!! So in a way, I don't mind it...
