Anyone from NSW driving up to QLD?

Trev's right -- it'd take me three minutes without traffic.

What Do You Do In Class?

Parsons would teach something if she took our grade. Are you still doing obscure texts this year, or can you get proper help of essays submitted to here?

    How good are your teachers?

Most of my teachers are OK. My English and SOR teacher is awesome, she's quite motherly, stays back at school to help us, tells us to ring her up if we're feeling stressed about anything, and she's encouraging. I disagree with her interpretations sometimes, but she likes mine. Don't like my...

    God, I wish I'd been at . . .

Ta =) Buckley's death robbed many of knowing how good he was. 'Lover You Should've Come Over' should be one of the most widely loved songs, but hardly anyone knows it. If I could only see three songs performed live, it'd have to be 'Lover You Should've Come Over', 'Hallelujah' and 'Forget Her'.

    God, I wish I'd been at . . .

Any of Jeff Buckley's performances in cafes. Or Sine.

What did you just buy NOW thread?

Brown cowboy-ish slouch boots, and from Payless so I only paid $50.

    What Size Are You?

Tops: anything from 12 - 16, depends on the bust, I'm a 20 school shirt :\ Pants: 12-14 Shoes 6-7 My general rule when buying skirts is if i ask the assistant for a certain size, and they say it'll be too big, it's pretty much perfect. Apparently I look thinner than I am. Same here.

    How to wear these boots?

The tan reminded me of gumboots when I saw them on the other day. I'm probably getting those brown ones this weekend because gold is just a bit too much, I'd get sick of the colour quickly, and there aren't many nicer boots around my area.

    Help Me Plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Not necessarily -- if you aim low, you might develop a tendency not to work, and that won't help you.

    Jeans...!

I just got a pair of jeans form Jeans West, lovely grey sort of colour, bootcut, tight in the right places and slimming, according to the boyfriend. Was told they'd stretch about a cm, which was fine by me, because I couldn't even have the button comfortably done up on the size below. Wore them...

    Exams vs Assignments vs Speeches

Speeches > Assignments > Exams. I love speeches, because I've been doing them for over a decade and it's nothing out of the ordinary for me, and also, you can add your own spin on things, such as your overall opinion simply by tone. Exams are good, too. I was accelerated in Science and then...

who here has their own study guide books?

Nah, I checked on the publishing page, doesn't have one. I'll be getting the Mac Economics when I find it.

    How do you Study?

I study using mindmaps, and then I type a chapter review, draw diagrams, do examples if necessary, write formulae on sticky-notes on the top of each new exercise, and keep ahead of the class. Basically, I 'study' every two or three weeks, if there are no assessments.

I think she's a good teacher, she certainly has her favourites and treats them best. I used to be one of them (accused me of plagiarism in year 7 because my narrative was 'better than she could do',she kept most of my Prelim essays, and always reminds me I'd do fantastic in the QLD schooling...

I don't even know what we're meant to be doing in RE. The one talking about conscription and issues, lol. She's a good teacher, she'll give you her address or phone number if we need help and need to talk to someone about stress (fitting, because she puts us all under so much), but she's a bit...

Yeah, I was meant to be doing practice exam questions for RE tonight, too, but we did 30mins on inter-faith dialogue on Monday, and then today she gives us questions on religious adherance, and the common features of inter-faith dialogue and religious harmony. I can get 2 sentences, and we're...

Awesome teacher, nonetheless. I wish I had her for Chem again this year, have a new teacher, in a class of year 11 accelerants and 4 year 12s (and a friend who also is repeating because she was in hospital and couldn't do the exam) so she gives too much homework out, thinking that as long as the...

I've tried telling my teachers that, but they seem to think that their subject is the only one worth bothering with. And I do homework and drafts of assignments on the bus, and half of my lunch-times. My day and schooling just sucks, lol.

Nah, I know of only one teacher at my school who uses/knows about BOS, my old Chem teacher who ran off notes from here because they were more concise than her own.

I couldn't survive like that. After the odd party going to bed at 3-4 I can be up and active at 7 and stay like it during work, but if I had those sorta hours everyday I just couldn't.
