    premier's award ceremony thingamy

i think that last year's 'two hour briefing' was literally a run through ... so we have to sit through them call out 800 names, have 800 people walk onto stage, shake hands, receive trophy, pose for photo, walk off stage and then do it all again.

Who got a crap UAI? I did :(

seriously, the hsc doesn't reflect effort, or ability, or study habits. i have no idea what it does reflect, but certainly don't think it deserves the esteem and faith placed in it by most people in the community, firstly because it's shit, and secondly because essentially you can do...

    i need help badly!!!*cries*

okkkk, but that still sort of misses what i was trying to say in terms of historiographical issues. bias, sources, writing history of the individual as opposed to period, judgements etc

    history essay topic

a girl in my class did joan of arc. she really enjoyed it, and there were lots of interesting people writing about her. she did well, too.
  18. sugared plum

    Which topic seems better??

both are linked in terms of the issues they raise. perhaps you could focus your question more broadly on questions of aboriginal australian history. that would be interesting, and it's very topical.

How much work did you do over the DEC/JAN hols?

haha, i started my major work 4 pm sunday, and finished 8 am the next day. (with coffee, cigarette and other drug breaks in between).
  20. sugared plum

    i need help badly!!!*cries*

i'm not sure your 'focus questions' for both topics are quite on track. you've got to identify the historiographical issues in the case study, same as in the course work. so, without ever having researched whitlam or ned kelly, i'd be saying both are an issue of the individual in history - do...
