    Semester 2 Chatter Thread (2007)

Re: Semester II Chatter Thread! Haha...James Beattie is cool. He really mumbled last year, but he's not as bad this year. It's funny when he says the first row of the transition metals really fast. :D

    Nose Piercings

I don't have one but my sister does, and it's quite nice. I don't like them when they're huge but she has a tiny stud and so it doesn't look trashy.

    pharmacy

Second year biochemistry in first semester is all based on amino acids, enzymes, all the boring stuff. Second semester biochemistry is based on metabolism, electron transport chain, diabetes, etc (much more interesting!). Third year biochemistry is alright, too.

    osmosis.

Osmosis is the movement of water from high concentration to low concentration. This is the "concentration" of water, not the concentration of solute. As mentioned by the above member, if there is a larger amount of solute in water, then the water is in low concentration (ie. there is a lower...

Do we need to mention states for Equations?

Thanks fenris. :) Exactly, no one would have lost marks if that person didn't do it, which is why I complained. Unfortunately, I got nowhere. :(

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

I was surprised with the length of the film. It was the largest book, but probably the shortest film (just over 2 hours). I would have like to have seen St. Mungo's hospital and Gildroy Lockhart, haha. I could barely understand what luna was saying since her voice is so soft. Overall, the film...

Do we need to mention states for Equations?

You mean like aqueous, gas, etc? I think it would be best if you did so. I remember for a practical assessment I lost a mark for not putting in the different states because someone else did.
