    AAS dotpoint.

Cheers, that works out well. At least i hope it will. though id prefer not to have to talk about it in the exam. sounds like a bastard of a point.

question thats going 2 be in the test

WEll, we need to know all about CFC's, which contain Florine, but Cl is the only thing that damages Ozone

    European Spaceship

Yup, thats it. interesting to see real life versions of the stuff we do in class
  4. mon_mon

    European Spaceship

i just mean how they use the deflection of the x-rays to be able to tell what elements it is reflecting off.
  5. mon_mon

    European Spaceship

yeah, i think they might just extract it from space, casue the ships only about the size of a washing machine and its supposed to be able to get to Mercury.

stupid BOS ( the actuall bos)

isn't it just like quality and quantity?

    eutrophication

Through the discharge of nutrients, from human or otherwise, and the growth of algal blooms, "deep lakes become shallow ones, and then become meadows". Its a natural occurence, but takes thousands of years normally. The human impact on the increase of Algal blooms has caused the time it takes to...

    European Spaceship

Hey guys, Not that relevant to the exams, but still really cool: Europe is sending their first spaceship to the moon this year, using an ion drive instead of rockets. What this means: Solar panels collect energy that ionise Xenon atoms, making them propel out the back of the ship...

    Chem Dp Help~ \(^0^")/ <----gay

But its still a really good site for chem revision. All ye out there! hear this! CSU is good. And i'm not even getting paid.

    Trials

And because the Sylabus changes, the trials are the only thing that used OUR sylabus.

    Chem Dp Help~ \(^0^")/ <----gay

Umm...yes. becasue it isn't stable, ie: it's Valence is -2 as opposed to 0. Thus, it is searching for another atom that can stabalise it, for instance another O.

    Catalysts.

    Cool, thanks.
  13. mon_mon

    Catalysts.

Cheers. Oh. wait, this just allows it to reach the equilibrium it would normally reach, only quicker?
  14. mon_mon

    Catalysts.

Fair enough. So it just lowers reaction rate and speed up the reaction?
  15. mon_mon

    Chem Dp Help~ \(^0^")/ <----gay

The free radical is so reactive because Oxygen really really wants another atom to become a molecule. High electron affinity i think its called. I assume 3,4 and 5 are from Shipwrecks and Salvage?

    Origins of halons and CFCs

Right, i got ya. true. Chlorine is the only Halide you have to worry about in terms of Ozone depletion
  17. mon_mon

question thats going 2 be in the test

CFC's, my man, CFC's. It's in the Chemisty and the Atmostphere section, about Ozone and what not. Although they do relate to Alkanes, they have Halides, such as Florine, Chlorine and Bromine on them that make the Halo-alkanes.

    Catalysts.

I think, token, that different catalysts are used for different results, and thus, yes, it will favour one side, otherwise they wouldn't use it.
  19. mon_mon

    Catalysts.

ah, that makes alot of sense. thanks
  20. mon_mon

Someone PLEASE help with this Prac

    sound like home ec. :)
