The Official 2006 FIFA World Cup thread.

Quite a match this morning (Paraguay v. T&T) and the 2nd hald was entertaining. Yorke was great, their wingers were cutting the Paraguan defence to pieces and they brought on a 37 year old striker who smokes 40 cigs a day and he was class! :) Pity not to have made it to the 2nd round but...

Well, in all fairness West Ham did have a huge liability going into the game. That liability is called "Shaka Hislop"! And now it has emerged that Kewell may not make the WC?

Bookie, how has Darren Albert done so far this season? Is he still playing out on the wing?

    The Official Football Thread 2005/2006

Inter underachieving again ... shock, horror! Mancini made some really odd decisions in his line-up, Figo was unfit and missed out on the first leg and Recoba was also not 100% sure yet they both started. I couldn't believe what Materazzi did on the pitch - he is one of my...

    The F1 Thread

re: The Official F1 Thread Wow .... what a G.P so far! Big crashes, poor old Mark's car failing on him again, I just realised that Gil De Ferran is still involved in motor sport and the Toro Rosos actually putting in a decent performance.

    Inside Man

Anyone seen it? What did you think? I saw it today and really loved it. Spike Lee did well once again directing, it was different to many other police dramas I'd seen before. Nice cinematography, funny script and good acting made it hard not to like.

    Accounting Info for Managers

Doing the subject now as well, so far it isn't too bad but the next exam will be make or break! Got alot of articles for the group assignment, just finding it hard to relate as they are too accouting general. How are you guys going with it?

    V8 Supercars 2006

Adelaide really is the best race weekend, other than Bathurst of course. There is alot of overtaking on the track, one of the greatest turns for spectators (turn 8) and it seems to have such a carnival atmosphere to it. I just really want to go next year. I'm glad that we have some new...

Census + repercussions of dropping a subject..

Thanks, I appreciate the advice and feedback. I just want to double check something - I don't need a Head of Units approval to drop a subject, do I?

    The F1 Thread

re: The Official F1 Thread  Surely they could have a better Australian commentary line-up? Neil really bugs me sometimes.

Census + repercussions of dropping a subject..

Hey all :) I realise that the census date is 31st March, which means that all subject changes have to been completed by then - correct? I am interested in dropping a subject this sem but am worried about any cost or how it may look on my academic transcript. What will appear on my...

    The Football Thread

Re: The Official A-League Thread. Abit disappointing to lose Sydney defender Paker to the Roar, an underated player if ever I saw one. Is there any other transfer speculation or new recruites coming to Sydney FC - besides of course Di Canio and Baggio? :D

I saw Paul on the field as a trainer when playing Penny last week, if half your squad is out injured maybe he could put back on the playing boots? :p

Re: The Official A-League Thread. It would be a pity if both Michael Beauchamp and Dean Heffernan (Mariners) got signed up after their trial with Nurnberg, but I guess both fancy themselves sneaking into the WC squad. It was good to see Bobby pick up player's player of the season - even at 34...

What The Fuck!?!?!? I was reading on the train that we got that mamoth score, and came to uni to start hassling those talkative South African players ..... and this happens! Bring back Bevan anyone?

    The Official Football Thread 2005/2006

Damn, when I left home for uni I had a huge smile on my face because I was going to post and laugh after they were down. I was still pretty smug even when Trezeguet scored .... poor Wiese was so close to MOTM award and then that happens. :mad1: At least Inter will hopefully have the chance...

Books: how much is it costing you?

Between $350 and $400, I decided not to buy and books 2nd hand this semester because I will probably use them as references when I finish my course - so no need to sell/re sell.
