    HELP plz very urgent

*Reviving dead thread* from ^ are we really not allowed to mark any of the pages you don't write on?? I always do... whether it's scribbling memos or just doodling. What happens if we get caught? This seems a bit silly to me.

A Situation that has Freaked Me Out

We were strongly encouraged to. When we walked in and were waiting for the others to finish coming in, and the supervisors to do blah, etc. we were encouraged to fill in every single page. Like previously said, it's just a precaution. Now that I think about it, probably would've gotten more...

    Cloudstreet

Damn yeah, I did the same. I didn't even think, just read "Quick" and started writing. *slaps wrist* And I agree with the "crucial scene" thing. I was writing about my scenes (one of which stretched on for a good portion of the book ... :) ) and wondered half-way through, "is this crucial...

CLOUDSTREET - Textual integrity/Value in study - how bout value in the question

Well, some of us prefer not to think in exams, and do it the easier way.

    so who cheated?

Dude, it's the SC. Let me guess - she didn't do the HSC, or is doing it and is failing miserably.

are we allowed to use "&"?

I saw a past 2004 "high-sample" essay, that didn't answer the question properly, used "&", and spelt the author's name wrong all the time.

The only word I can't read is: 1n+0

    Easiest Test Ever!

My conclusion to all my essays were lame. + I couldn't read most of it anyway. Meh. I was a bit disappointed that it was all essays. I was looking forward to a nice conversation transcript or speech (but praying that it wasn't a newspaper article or something obscure because Paper 1 had...

My mum just told me that burning my English notes is immature.

Hey, there's a lot of crazy people on these forums. Point one: he has a myspace. Point two: he advertises it in really large font in his signature <insert comment about needing friends> ... hmm just looked at his myspace. He is "pretending" to inject himself with heroin. Clearly, this...

CLOUDSTREET - Textual integrity/Value in study - how bout value in the question

Fish would've been more suitable for an essay IMO, but who knows the minds of markers. Apart from Fish though, I would say Quick is the most significant. There's a lot that you can derive from his actions that I discovered/made-up (I prefer "discovered") while writing the essay (thankfully...

    Paper 2 Distaster Stories...

Poo. I just realised I wrote about "endearing" characters. Ah well. Endearing sounds better.

    Paper 2 Distaster Stories...

... this is how you calculate your UAI

    Paper 2 Distaster Stories...

Bahaha I didn't study King Lear, but I def would've given you top marks if I was marking your essay and you wrote that. :)

    I am a retard

Hey, lots of people did the same. ... ok, so I only know of one, but I'm sure heaps others did too. I looked at some sample "high-range" essays from 2004 and, when the question said "mention TWO extracts" or something, they didn't mention any. If your content it GOOD (but it has to be really...

My mum just told me that burning my English notes is immature.

Firstly - tako - you hit your mum. Wow. You're sooooooooo cool. NOT. I hope your Mum gets an AVO out on you. (Can parents get an AVO out on their children?) (They do now). Secondly - Komaticom - ?? I agree with LottoX

    Easiest Test Ever!

I thought that was a fairly okay paper - much better than paper 1 IMO lol I was prepared for the specific scenes question in Module B because I did the 2004 essay the day before that asked pretty much the same thing, so I wasn't as thrown as some of my classmates were. Lucky my scenes vaguely...

I replied to your post in the other thread, cause I did the same thing, but I just realised that we should be fine cause the question said "closely analyse" or something. And poo, I just realised I closely analysed three. Meh. 25/20, I say! :)

    Paper 2 Distaster Stories...

Haha I did the same. According to ME, I did two in great detail and lots of other little examples... buuuutt some of the other examples had substantial detail... so hopefully they won't count... :S or maybe I should be hoping they do for bonus marks cause the rest wasn't flash-hot either... :(

    Paper 2 Distaster Stories...

Well, that's why they have ranks and stuff. So if you stuff up the major exam, you can still grab everyone else's marks :) BTW <3 the maths equation ;)
