    Fake piercings.

haha, em, that made me think of those stick-on earrings that we used to get from the supermarket when we were little, shaped in stars, and hearts and stuff...a set for every day of the month

    Hospital System

I find it interesting that people almost expect doctors to work long hours...or at the very least, for doctors to always be available (which leads to working long hours) However, when they screw up due to fatigue, and mis-diagnose someone, leave gauze in an open wound, or write an incorrect...

    The Biggest Loser

Magda Szubanski!!! (or however the hell it is spelt..) As for the show, I think good on them! It can't be easy going on there knowing that 20 million people will be watching you sweat it out, seeing all your wobbly bits in a lycra crop-top, all that...its a big call, and well done for them...

The Usage Of The Word- "BLOODY" In Tourism Ads.

The Bugger ones were for Toyota. They were banned because the religious Nazi's got all offended because it was celebrating gay-man-sex (seriously, whoever knew that 'bugger' meant anal sex? Not me!) I don't mind the Bloody ads either. Not the greatest thing I've ever seen, but they portray a...

parents paying for uni fees/textbooks etc

My HECS fees are deferred, and I pay for pretty much everything else (rego, insurance, clothes, my social life, mobile phone, GSC, textbooks, all expenses related with going on prac, etc) My parents do pay for food (but only at home, they don't pay for my lunches at uni, or if I want to go...

    Medicine at Newcastle

I think its 93, or 93.8 or something around there. Although, as Emily said, ignore that and do as well as you can. Do well in the HSC, blitz UMAT and have a kick-arse interview, and your home sailing.

    The future of our Union

Anyone would think beer drinking is an art...bring back the days of XXXX Gold, I say!!! (:s)

DIVA - Do you buy ur jewellery there?

I do occasionally, but only for like, "silver" dangly earrings that I will only wear to the pub or something...I figure, at Diva prices, it doesn't matter if I lose them when I'm drunk (I usually do)

    workplace shenanigans

"I want to sex you but I don't want you to take up leaving spare clothes or a toothbrush at my house"

    Subject not related to degree?

I thought there were rules that you can only do subjects that will count towards the progression of your degree? Or maybe I imagined that. Anyway, I think with the fun and joy that is HUBS, you'd be crazy to take on more than you have to.

brand names - dont they suck!

But, see, thats different, because you fell in love with the fit and look of the jeans, not the label. I have nothing against buying name-brands (such as my Colorado example) , but I would never buy something purely coz it was a certain brand, or whatever. Buy something because its high...

brand names - dont they suck!

It depends what it is...I fail to see the point in paying $150 to have "Roxy" painted across my arse when a $50 pair of jeans are just as good. But, I will quite happily spend that amount on a pair of Colorado shoes, because I know the quality is there.

how many hours do you work per month?

I'm casual, and on average, I guess I do somewhere between 70-80 per month. If you're only doing 70 hours per month, thats only like 17.5 hours a week, how the hell do you class that as fulltime?

    Hospital System

Exactly. I remember reading an article a while back, and to be excessively tired is essentially the same as being intoxicated to the point of being over the legal limit for driving. I forget the amount by, but it was something phenomenal.

    co workers

Don't cut my shifts, you fuckers. More importantly, don't whinge to me about how busy it was because there were not enough staff because you cut my shift!

    Rules for Customers

haha, I was informed last night that "if you want all the guys to haul their arses to front end, you need to call a 'code 20'...but, you know, its pretty damn challenging for them to get a firecracker up their bums so they actually get out of back dock and do something useful"

    Eastpaks

What Emily is trying to say is they're butt-ugly. Go a regular backpack instead.

    Rules for Customers

We do tickets on a Sunday, starting at about lunchtime. Why? Because only one person does it. Given there are around 10,000 tickets that need to be changed, this means we cannot possibly get them all done 15 minutes before closing time. No, we have no night staff here, so no, it cannot be done...

    Best exercises to lose weight

You know, like the 'long, lean' sexiness that the infomercials on Pilates promises Big, chunky muscles like body builders or even some footballers.
