    ppl who lived in japan

I don't eat raw fish either and it wasn't a problem. When they took me to this totally awesome and gigantic sushi train restaurant, I just ate the other stuff. It was fine. Believe me, there is plenty more food to try. If your host mother is a great cook like mine was, you'll be eating 24/7. The...

    ppl who lived in japan

I bought them stuff in Australia and gave it to them when I got there. They seemed pretty thrilled with the aussie stuff. I brought WAY too much money, but I'm not a big spender, so I probably should've spent more. The trip cost about $1500 or something like that, I don't remember, but it...

    ppl who lived in japan

    1. LABO 2. End of Yr 10 3. Mainly about the lifestyle and culture. Also, yummy jap food and many j-pop bands that rock. 4. Yes. If you go, you should do a homestay because it helps teach you about the lifestyle more and the culture. My host sister was two years older than me, but she had a...

    Burnt Out

Take a break. Go and get a drink and re-energise. Then continue studying. It's good to take breaks in between study, just to stretch and well, not go insane really. If it's really late, just go to sleep and wake up early. No point in trying to study with a brain that wants to be switched off.

    I love year 11...

lol, our 3U paper was nuts hard. I was just about ready to give up half way through. But eh... the 2U paper was a cinch, I got 95% for that, but because my school's a bunch of geniuses my rank was 87/161 or something like that... selective school. suger_plum wrote: wow, all 5 units...

feeling wen talking to a jap person

Maybe this is just for casual form, but in Japan, they often say "shiranai" to each other. Maybe for polite you use teimasu, but I'm not certain.

feeling wen talking to a jap person

Mostly, it will improve your understanding of the culture and lifestyle, that above everything. I learnt lots of new vocab though that I've never learnt at school, but a month isn't long, so it's easy to forget those words once you come back to Aust. And also, you'll discover many new Jap...

feeling wen talking to a jap person

"I don't know" in jap is "shiranai" or "shirimasen", I think. And yeah, it is weird. I went on exchange for a month last year to Japan and stayed with this host family. I just froze up and ended up speaking english at first. But then after a while, it was okay. They kind of laugh at you, but...

    I love year 11...

Oh really... damn... I was going to. I've had a bunch of people telling me it's hard, and everyone else saying it's a cinch and easy marks. So I don't know if I should do hist ext or ext jap. Well that's OT. IMO Yr 11 does matter in terms of preparing you for Yr 12. But the Yr 12's tell us Yr...

    Ext Japanese

Thanks for any advice guys, much appreciated :) Well I definitely don't despise Japanese, but my brother, from experience, told me to do subjects that will get you good marks, don't do what you like. So I guess I'm still tossing between ext Jap or ext hist. Thanks again. This message board...

    Ext Japanese

Hey, Second post on this board. I think it's great. Anyway, I'm in yr 11 and I was wandering if it's worth it to take up Extension Japanese next year? My Jap teacher said it's a lot of work, but she also made it sound like it would be worth it and that it would help a lot with your 2U jap...
