    Semester 2 Timetable '06

Have pity on the poor suckers doing Primary ed, 9am lecture on Monday, which can't be moved. Tuesday sucks, and I've tried shuffling things around to move that Wednesday tutorial on to a different day to little avail, it'll only move to Wednesday or Friday afternoon...

    eduf1018 - how do u study 4 the exam

As far as I remember she just said you'll have to respond to one compulsory question plus one other from a selection of #. I dunno how I'm gonna go writing essay answers in an exam, the only time I can ever string together more than 100 words is at 4am with a jug of coffee coursing through my...

    Semester 1 Chatter Thread (2006)

Re: Semester 1 Chatter Yeh been going to the Lansdowne for years, the food steaks can be really hit-and-miss depending on who's working, chicken always seems good. Packed lunches are definitely the way to go, I just like to have backup plans for the days when I've slept in :D

    Semester 1 Chatter Thread (2006)

Re: Semester 1 Chatter Where's this engineering cafe, and are the burgers any good? All of the food I've tried on campus so far has been horrible. Is there anywhere on campus with remotely decent coffee? I've tried a few stands around campus, & coffee from Manning - so foul. I don't want to...

    International students

Great for diversity & bringing some different perspectives to study. The only negative I see is that a lot of international students seem to stay in groups of the same nationality, though I guess it's gonna be pretty hard for 'em considering they're in a whole new country (which in some cases...

    Profile - Political Views

Libertarianism supports individual liberty, with staunch support for individual rights and ownership, but is economically capitalistic. Anarchism promotes a society completely free of authoritative institutions, entirely reliant on voluntary cooperation.

Scratch that, just completed the test again and my result was as follows: http://www.digitalronin.f2s.com/politicalcompass/printablegraph.php?ec=-8.00&soc=-6.97 Last time I completed it was two or three years ago, I guess I'm becoming more of a hippy in my old age ;)

    Education and Social Work '06

That's fantastic, I should still be able to work at least four days a week then, which means I'll still have the $ to at least be comfortable. I think I'll have to curb the CD & clothes shopping though.

    Why education?

NB: Response to "Is it making a difference?" should read: I feel that without providing future generations with a comprehensive and diverse education, the myriad issues facing the world will never be resolved. Apologies again, long day at work, so tired...

    Why education?

Why? 1. It just clicked. I was in a bookshop one day early last year and the idea popped into my head, and has held reign in the front of my mind ever since. 2. I was sick of working in a career where the sole purpose of my role seemed to be to line the coffers of company executives &...

Know anyone, or going it alone?

Try being too shy to ever introduce yourself to people (even when drunk) and having the burden of being eight or nine years older that the rest of the people in your year :shy:

Hey tomorrows_angel, what're the contact hours like in first year? I'm ditching a career to go back to study, need to figure out how many days/hours I can work to at least try to maintain the lifestyle I've grown accustomed to :P
