    uai prediction pls

It's amazing....if you achieve 70%-80% in 4u maths you'll get scaled up real nice, when there are people every year that achieve high band 6 in the hsc.... it's such a good subject to do, even if your marks are low and so is your percentile in the hec....you'll still get pulled up assuming you...

    ESL Vs Standard

Survivor39 don't be so cocky man.....seriously... And a band 6 is not impossible in any subject, including standard english......if people get band 6 in ext 2 maths, latin and other crazy subjects then surely standard isn't so impossible...

    HSC and Scaled Marks (document)

Oh sweeeeeeeeeeeet a mean of 47.5 (i.e. 95) in ESL scales you up to 100 (i.e. 50) happy:) EDIT: is that because it was the highest mark in 2002 or because it's just a very high mark?
  14. G

    HSC and Scaled Marks (document)

  15. G

    HSC and Scaled Marks (document)

Laz or anyone else: could you explain a bit more about table 3 if it does deal with percentiles because i'm interested to dig out the information about my subjects to see where i stand. what do the S.D. and maximums stand for?
  16. G

    How high are you aiming?

why do you talk of yourself in the third person?
  17. G

    How high are you aiming?

does achieving a uai of 90 that you are ranked in the top 10% of the state, 91- 9% and so fourth?
  18. G

    Exception to the ranking rule???

will do thanks for the help Laz and Minai :p
  19. G

How baddly is your uai affected by 1 subject?

depends on how much you'll end up getting in yur bad subject rank and hsc exam wise, depends on your achievements in your other subjects and depends on what you're aiming at. Can you just drop it?
  20. G

    How high are you aiming?

LaZy_KoReAn......yup...what are you on aobut??... special provisions mean you can get in to a course at uni with a uai up to 5 point lower....i.e. i could get in to law with 95 instead of 99.60.....which is easier and more reasonable to achieve?... I wanted it so f****** bad oh well, now...
