Does anyone else think we could all get a UAI of 100?

Unfortunately though, even if everyone did get 100 (putting aside the idea that it's a rank...) it would be worthless in terms of uni entry, 'prestige' etc. It's only something to aspire to because such a small percentage can actually get it.

mac program that will do screenshots?

As said before - use the app called Grab. It's in the Utilities folder and really easy to use. Or even easier, just press Applekey-Shift-3 and the screenshot appears as a pdf on your desktop. (assuming you use osx)

Sections III, IV : Extended Response

Import revenue?? Does an appreciation not discourage foreign investment in Australia? Given that foreign based MNCs etc have to pay more in their currency to expand plants/production in Australia.. An appreciation actually helps the CAD in this way, as it reduces the servicing costs of...

    Section II : Short Answer

I talked about how fiscal could reduce CAD through helping its structural and cyclical components - structurally through decreasing the S-I gap (Eg through the changes to super and elimination of PSUD) adding to the pool of domestic savings thus decreasing the need to rely on foreign funds, and...

    Section I: Multiple Choice

This is right; buying CGSs would make a flow of money AWAY from the government, and c) isn't logical; the budget deficit is already there so the gov can't increase taxation/decrease expenditure - if they did, it wouldn't be a deficit!

    The Abortion Debate (continued)

Absolutely right especially with the bolded phrase; abortion should never be used instead of condoms, the pill etc purely as contraception. It is still preferable, though, to unwanted/deformed births.

    The Abortion Debate (continued)

I agree entirely with that, abortions should never happen on the premise that there's too many people already.

    The Abortion Debate (continued)

OK point taken with that Law, sorry. Can i edit it out and let the debate continue...?

    The Abortion Debate (continued)

So because the government wants to crank up the workforce a bit, women should just produce more babies and fulfil their role as factories? people are not units that the government can just decide to increase so that their economic indicators can look a bit better. Admittedly, our inflation and...

    Macbook Pro?

cheers. i think i might get one at the end of this year, or early next year...by which stage there'll be more Universal apps, Leopard might be out, and as you said, Apple would have consolidated their Intel lineup a bit more. Or maybe i should just spend $28k and get fully optioned Mac Pro with...

    The Abortion Debate (continued)

How about giving an unwanted birth that will also result in a life of constant pain, just not one labelled 'defective' by your genetic standards? Do you see what I mean? It's inconsistent to say that abortions can be used to stop children being born when they won't get the best choice of life...

    The Abortion Debate (continued)

Defective foetuses? So 'defective' people aren't blessed with these same 'rights' as others? Agree completely with the first two cases, but I just find inconsistency in the argument that proposes that the rights of foetuses are equivalent to the rights of born humans - yet you say that...

    School withholding ranks?

how strange...at our school every department posts the entire rankings up after every assessment, with each individual mark for every assessment and current rank - basically so that a) we know where we are, b) we can check if marks have been entered incorrectly..

    The Official 2006 AFL Thread

Not so devastating since we dealt with them :) 3 losses out of 4? 2006 GF: WCE v Melbourne. i can't see freo getting there, and the rest well yeah maybe the swans will do it again, maybe adelaide can, but i don't think so. I think the bulldogs might get as far as prelim final though, not...
