    Neatness of notes

ugh... the handwriting has always been a bit of a downfall for me... but i have grown fond of using multiple abhorrent colours, overusing highlighters and using "inkjection" pens from smiggle & my notes, quite frankly.. are quite aesthetically appealing to the eye. until you try to read it...

    Aiiyah!!!!

aah boogerboy.. how you remind me of a discharge that secreted from my nose this morning... i personally believe that you are making a mountain out of a molehill, and if i were you then i'd probably take a few days just to relax, sit in a corner by a window with a crotchet rug, a copy of harry...

Re: What's the most difficult book you've ever read (or tried to)? (Lacan, Joyce, etc HAHA yes, i agree. i think the 2 more difficult books ive had to read would include "the shipping news" - annie proulx [i dont know what the pulitzer prize judges were thinking / on at the time] & "Physics 1 ...

    twilight series

i just finished reading stephenie's OTHER book... "the host", i liked it alot more than twilight. twilight is just... too disturbingly perfect to a degree. but deep down, all of her stories are pretty dark, but with always a glint of hope that seems to infiltrate our minds whilst reading. yeah...

    Half-Yearly Thoughts

our school did our half yearlys at the end of last term... i did alright top 4 for everything. some of the tests were hilariously retarded, and didn't follow the syllabus OR the outline -twitch twitch- but that is ok... it all works out fair in the end, eh?

What subjects are you thinking of dropping next yr?

i can already see physics disappearing from my timetable... the only reason i picked it was because i was initally doing software but due to unfortunate events i had to drop it, & physics was the only other decent thing on that line. if things go my way, ill pick up 4u eng, and maybe...

medicine, dentistry, psychology, physio, combined law or actuarial! as long as im at a uni in SYDNEY and i can crawl out of the hill billy hick laden old town that i'm forced to live in. ...but if that fails, then i'll just write reviews for underground alternative avant garde rock bands and...

    Thoughts on Extension 2 Maths

yeah, 4 unit is by far the most rewarding course you can take in high school [imo]. there's no greater satisfaction than that encountered after staying up till 4am trying to work out some crazy hsc question, and after the 54864035204 pages of algebra; finally getting it right [without peeking...

What is your all time favourite book?

aaah definitely the lovely bones by alice sebold... the standard class gets to study it, while my class is stuck with yucky barbara baynton's "bush studies"... shudder... other than that, i love "the host" by stephenie meyer [of twilight fame], james frey's "a million little pieces", catcher in...

Anyone having a work overload crisis?

yeah, it's only now that i realise how incredibly pointless year 7, 8, 9 & 10 actually were. at the time everyone would say things like "why try when it doesnt matter at all?" and now i completely concur and envy my wee little sisters, sitting in their rooms "studying" for their innocent topic...

    distinction courses

thankyou, lyounamu!! aaah how i yearn to be a semi-qualified philosopher at the tender age of 17.

    distinction courses

so. if i were to do my 3+4unit maths HSC tests this year, but if i were to get an E3 in 4 unit [god forbid], and i have a burning desire for an E4... if i'm accepted into a distinction course [philosophy!!]* will they let me do 4unit again so i can get my beloved E4 and sail off into the sunset...

Is a raw mark in the 30s really bad for 4 unit?

in the front of jeff geha's 50 tips for 4 unit, it has the averages[SD, lowest, highest etc] for 4u maths HSC papers from a while back. anyway, one year ['93 me thinks] the average was circa 30% [RAW!!] but other years, the raw average has been circa 70%!
