Uni Entry System about to Collapse (SMH) - (re: UNSW)

It's absolutely astounding but I'm not complaining as I happened to be one of those that got into commerce @ unsw with a UAI below the latest cutoff.

If you are in year 11, read this first.

It's possible if you put in the hard work.

    2 questions

Looks right to me. So I'd say the answers are wrong. :) (2,2) => the point on the argand diagram representing 2 + 2i, but it's wrong. Answer should be (2,1) as Slidey has pointed out.

You *know* you're a chemistry nerd when...

    Summer Progress.

It's alright... most people are like that. It is the holidays and you should give yourself a bit of a break. Don't be too hard on yourself.

Official: i have completed zelda twilight princess thread

Just finished TP a few days ago and gotta agree with the lack of dungeon depth, and it was a bit too easy. However I enjoyed it thoroughly and now playing through it a second time. :D

    2u or 3u ?

I'd say go for it, seeing as math is worth more (4 units) as opposed to english and you've already spent most of your time so far doing english.

    a³ + 3a = 140

Don't worry about it if it's confusing you, I never used it and it's not in the syllabus.

    yr 11 revision - questions

Ah sorry, I didn't realise you were only doing 2u. =\ 1) It's a cubic (expand it and see for yourself). 2) & 3) Yes they are polynomials, the one in 2 is a polynomial equation and the ones in 3 are polynomial functions. This is the 2u method that I'd use which happens to be easier/quicker...

    yr 11 revision - questions

y3-y2-6y=y(y2-y-6) =y(y-3)(y+2) Now sketch this and find the points that are on the x-axis OR below the x-axis. These are your solutions. 2) Substitute numbers that are factors of 72, use the factor theorem and long divide if necessary after you've found a few solutions. 3) y=x3+x2=x+1...

    2u or 3u ?

I was a bit like that when I first started 4u. You should start with other textbooks first as Slidey pointed out (Patel) and when you think you're ready, you should try some of the Cambridge excercises. Don't worry, once you start doing some questions, the topics won't look so scary. ;) I...

    Integration

    (a + b + c + d)/e = (a/e) + (b/e) + (c/e) + (d/e) dx means with respect to x? Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

    Excel Revise in a monthers

Quoted for truth. You shouldn't even consider buying these revise in a month books unless you are in the situation described by the title. They are too brief and you have time on your hands to use for preparing your own study notes.

    Wii

Yeah I also can't wait for Brawl, been a big fan of the previous two. At the moment I'm holding onto my money, awaiting for more games to be released. :D
