You can actually drop out of a subject right up until the final HSC exams, I'm not sure exactly how many days before your actual exam though. I was going to do that last year but didn't end up going through with it. Bottom line is they can't force you to go to class, and they cant make you do...

There isn't any, anyone can do it. You just talk to your school and they enrol you as a pathways student, but if you think about it make sure you really are sure. I just finished pathways and it is hard watching your friends finish school without you.

Well I sort of did the same thing, I got my first preference in the main round but changed my preferences for the late and final rounds... though it was because I'm still not sure what I want to do, or if I want the course I'm enrolled in now...

They're not that bad, all my friends thought they were actually really nice. Lots of them are parents that have kids at the school as well. :) My supervisor (i had separate supervision) was really nice & made me feel really calm during my exams.

Getting a feature article in the exam was my worst nightmare. When I saw there wasn't one last year I sat there with this big smile on my face which confused my supervisor haha :p Just ask your teacher or have a look at some feature articles in newspapers or magazines, that should help you out.
