Look at the bid history. It was only serious up to about £7,000 .. then it got hijacked by users with hopeless ratings. It won't go through. Anyway, now that the Premier League is decided, we can turn our attention to who will be promoted from the CCC! Reading and Sheffield United are...

It is at WIN Stadium. The fifth game at Kogarah will be vs Bulldogs, which is a local derby in itself anyway. IMO, the reason Hunt is the new fullback is because Australia seems to know that they are going to get pummelled, so they are just giving him experience. Matt Bowen is a...

Re: Gold Coast Titans Try to NRL thread. Copious will move it there soon. What do I make of them? They'll be battling it out for the spoon in their first couple of seasons .. they won't have enough quality there at the beginning. Sure, in Bailey they will have the world's best...

We've been through this stuff way too often on here, lol. If Marshall plays, New Zealand by 13+ .. if he doesn't, New Zealand 1-12. Cooper's selection is a joke, even though he's my favourite player. Mason .. just rofl.

I'd give a go to Aaron Lennon. He is explosive, tricky, and can create something out of nothing. Only worry would be the fact that he isn't a very physically imposing striker.

Portugal had no lack of world class game-breakers, but it certainly didn't show vs Greece at Euro 2004. Greece went along a divine path in that tournament, played the matches of their lives, and had everything go right for them. Their record SINCE Euro has been far less than inspiring .. they...

Ahh, that's because they are the TRUE dark horse. A powerhouse midfield, with Baros up front to finish off movements. Wouldn't mind seeing them get to the latter stages of the tournament. I think the Czechs and the Italians will advance from Group E, leaving USA and Ghana kicked out.

Player for player, I would much rather be supporting Serbia than Ivory Coast. The Africans definitely have the exuberance, but they'll have to experience a Senegalese run to go far in the tournament. By that, I mean that the opposition will have to under-perform, and they will have to play out...

Why can't they get up over these squads if they managed to finish on top of Spain? They coped with the pressure well in the away match against Spain, and both Bosnian matches .. We'll see what happens, I guess.

I was arguing a similar point on here when the Groups were drawn. Most on here saw Group C (Argentina, Ivory Coast, Serbia, Holland) as the Group of Death, but then quickly said Argentina and Holland will progress anyway. Personally, I think that Serbia & Montenegro are almost a shoe-in...

I'm in no way saying that the Gunners will have what it takes to win the Final .. but rather that I reckon it's unfair to say that they "don't deserve" to be there, you know what I mean? If the Catalan giants don't win this year's CL, it will be the biggest upset in recent CL history.

Cooper Cronk failed a fitness test today. He's having another one on Friday, but the Melbourne doctor says it doesn't look good. They'll find room for Scott Hill.

Hey Eoin, The Sharks were down 22-10 at halftime .. Cowboys didn't have the petrol in the tank to keep it up in the second half after their HUGE 18-16 win over Newcastle the week before (in the best match of the season). A good win nonetheless; you have Lance Thompson to thank for a very...

If they make it into the Round of 16, I think they'll surpass expectations. IMO, they will have done well enough to get a draw out of Japan and Croatia. If Brazil drop any points, it will be a huge disappointment to them. I think the Group F table will look something like: Brazil ------...

Well, I'm half-Serbian, half-Croatian. At one point in the draw, Australia were with Croatia and Brazil, and Serbia & Montenegro were up for selection (they were in that separate bowl), and there was a VERY real chance that they were going to be in Group F. However, it wasn't to be ...

How can anyone really call their defence shoddy when they have kept 10 straight clean sheets in the CL? It's a record for that competition .. With regards to the PL game on Saturday night, it was definitely not sportsmanlike, but as Tony Palumbo said on The World Game, it shouldn't be up to...

Yeah, everything points to a big Melbourne victory, definitely. Including the fact that we have only beaten them once out of the last nine matches between the clubs. Hopefully Inglis and Cronk are both ruled out with injury, though. That would help no end. Supposedly relegated to Premier...
