    clerkship coaching SCAM

i personally know ben (lipschitz, in case you're wondering) and he's a nice bloke... however, i do find this scheme a bit entrepreneurial.. i guess the best thing we 'oldies' can do is to continue to give advice, for free, to the young 'uns and hope people pass the favour forward.

    IntSt vs Comm.

no worries. two yrs back i wanted to exchange to HK uni (for professional reasons), but didn't up going through with that. you can do Commerce (with an International Business major) and Law but not Commerce (International) and Law.

    IntSt vs Comm.

yeah i'm in my final semester. i didn't end up going on exchange, but that's not to say i couldn't have gone. i think the plan i've outlined is a decent substitute for both B.Com LLB and B.Int Std LLB.

    IntSt vs Comm.

no, it'll end up taking 5 yrs (if you start the diploma at the beginning of 2nd year), but you will be doing the equivalent of 6 yrs of FT study in the space of 5 yrs. the workload is alright... i didn't fare too well in Commerce but that's because i didn't care too much... 5 subjects is...
  9. F

    IntSt vs Comm.

i do mine simultaneously by overloading 1 language subject per semester). so, 5 yrs for com/law, begin my diploma in 2nd yr, takes 3.5 yrs (7 subjects over 7 semesters), exchange in 5th yr, final semester. all good.

How to prepare for the grad interview?

my fellow UNSW-ian, i have some short words of advice but unfortunately i'm labouring under a LST essay on Marxism, alienation and the law so my reply will have to wait for another (edit: day or three). :)

    Law studies

my dear friend, i've always wondered about this... my jaded, cynical reply (having been rejected last year by what feels like most of the legal profession) to your comment is that - for every Justice Kiefel, there are thousands of law students, little idealistic boys and girls, walking along...

    Summer clerkships

been there, done that. :) ...and they make you write so much too. :)

    IntSt vs Comm.

BCom LLB + Diploma of Languages + Exchange = best of both worlds.

    Robert French new Chief Justice

not happy that Spigelman wasn't picked. don't get me wrong - Bobby French is a fine, fine judge... but because of my parochial eastern-seaboard-centric-ism and my alma mater links with our dear state Chief Justice, i'm somewhat saddened by the news. :(

    Law Courses' credit transfer

transfers FTW! :D i think it has something to do with the fact that we worked hard in our first year in order to transfer, and that good work ethic has been kept throughout our degree. not blowing my own trumpet of course..
