    Too many lawyers?

Do you think that studying law is kind of pointless considering how overly populated the 'law' career sector is? Are there simply too many lawyers and wannabe-lawyers for the demand of the Australian public? I mean - sure we need lawyers, but do we already have too many?

    What are you currently Reading?

I'm halfway through Ellis' Glamorama, and I'm thinking it's pretty addictive. I read Rules of Attraction in segments through school chapel last year. Got to read it again. Has anyone read Lunar Park, any opinions?

    Marie Antoinette & Hard Candy.

    Favourite Movies.

Kubrick is a genius. Was going to put Eyes Wide shut on my list too, but then that with Rules of Attraction...people'll begin to think I just like arty films that you can jack off to.

    pan's labyrinth

For once icecreamdisco I agree. I think it was good, I think i'd give it a 3/4 - but for that kind of iMBD rating, I was expecting something a lot lot better.

Channel Ten's Coverage of NYE's Fireworks

The majority of people not drunk enough on NYE to even understand what is going on on Channel Ten seem to be 40+, and I swear - it's the same group of assholes that complained about the ratings on movies being to small and managed to get the OFLC to blow up these big coloured...

    Marie Antoinette: Kirsten Dunst

Fair point on the execution scene. I just think as far as technical work goes, Hard Candy was far better than MA. Just the fact that such a bland and boring environment was set on fire with great filming and digital colouring. I just still can't believe that bloody MA sunrise.

    Marie Antoinette: Kirsten Dunst

Care to elaborate? I mean - you say that it takes guts to make Marie Antoinette. All it takes is money provided by her dad and four million cocky arts students that'll buy the DVD. Hard Candy was made on a tiny budget and has some of the best editing and digital colouring I've seen in a long...

    Marie Antoinette: Kirsten Dunst

Yeah, the movie was good but it wasn't great. I've always thought that Sophia Coppola's movies are only made because good ol' Daddy Francis happens to produce them all. I mean - they're all so hollow and the only thing that keeps them alive is the soundtrack, setting and decent actors. The plot...

    - Do these 3 things to your resume right now -

Yeah, I seriously don't think it matters. Unless your e-mail address is lets_get_some_shoes_betch224@hotmail.com. However, if you're going for a position at Pierce & Pierce, it would need to be printed on Egyptian Papyrus in Helvetica Italic 11.

    Testpilot's Guide to Studying Japanese

Get a Japanese Pen or e-mail friend through e-mail or MSN, the time difference isn't too bad, and it's a great chance to make a nice friend, have a 'contact' in Japan - and get really good advice from a native speaker. Your Japanese teacher will probably be connected to an organization that does...

What's this about someone saying dictionaries can't be used in Japanese HSC exams from 2007 onward?

    Year 11 Workload

Just out of interest. How many Year 11's this year kept a part time job AND a good grade average? How many hours did you work a week. Parentals think I should quit my job (15-20hrs a week) at the video shoppe, because it'll save quitting it when the workload gets rough. Any thoughts?

wanting a facial - can someone please recomend a beauty store in Sydney??

holy shitsticks. Unless you have seriously chokito-bar acne then why would you let them dig all the shit out of your skin with metal bars?! I'd rather get a jizz-facial. i'd stick with - more than ten hard to pronounce chemicals, burns after application = good pimple cream.

    Does this course exist?

Just wondering if this combined degree is offered: BA (Adv) (Hons)/BSc (Adv) Can you do an advanced degree in both, or do you have to sway toward one?

    General thoughts: Maths SC

That's alright - I left the third section (20 marks) under my formulae sheet. Dialogue: "Pens down" (double checks student numbers and finds one sheet with no number...opens sheet...finds new section with no answers whatsoever) "Fuck"

    Building Bridges? Hope, Daring?

Mine was luther-king to the max. It was basically about human rights and equality - building bridges to promote a equal society. It's either going to get Band 6 or Band 1, nothing else. This question pissed me off so much, you don't build a bridge with hope and daring - you build it with...
