    converting music

Some of the mp3s i download dont play as nicely on my mp3/cd player, so I run them through MMJB's Convert option, and that usually fixes it. But burn with Nero. Adaptec did weird things to the order that I wanted things on the cd (like - with 120 songs, puts them in damn alphabetic order...

Lear HSC Questions dont follow the syllabus

thats absolutely wrong. you need to be able to suppport EVERYTHING you say with evidence FROM the play... if you just say that "this is a marxist interpretation" and then dont give support then thats crap.

check bbc website for directors notes on Eyre's Lear.

    Abstract and Refinement

Hierarchial view of a system: like - (and i always get confused between abstraction and refinement), but: Breaks the system down into a number of simpler modules, and then this diagram will lay them out sequentially (top to bottom and left to right along each row) Its like a tree diagram...

    Another annoyingly easy question..

Thats slack and usually beside the point of the questions. (Like - you spend however long getting to the answer, so you shouldnt lose marks in 4U for not simplifying...)

    data loggers

Well - you also have to remember that not every school has access to dataloggers (cost reasons?), so the question won't say "You did this with a datalogger - tell us how". It should also give a way out for people who havent had access to a datalogger.

    data loggers

I have to say, that our projectile prac was so much cooler... (We didn't have pressure pads and the like.)
  8. Fosweb

    Another annoyingly easy question..

Post the question. But usually, even if your answer is one step less simplified, you should get the marks. Unless it actually says: show it equals this... To get to the answers in the back however, try taking out the highest common factors, such as in your answer, take the (4x+9)^3 and...

    random tips/hints

1989 paper had that in it somewhere. Fitzpatrick book has a proof - should probably look at it then

Other theorems w/ regard to markers

Well... With n holes, and kn + 1 objects to go in these holes: If NO holes have k+1 objects (ie the most number of objects in any hole was k), then you couldnt have anymore than kn objects, which is the contradiction. So then at least one hole muct have at least k+1 objects in it. Its used...

    stroboscope photographs

aaahhh... is this yr 11 or 12 question? I don't remember ever doing anything on this... But I suppose they take pics at a set interval, and if you set up a scale next to whatever you were taking pics of (like - put a big ruler or measuring tape), then you could see how far the object was...

Major Project - what are you doing?

Also another thing: Which is off the topic from your major project: If you are ever trying to conceal a link from someone on your website, like the one to download the program, don't have that link in the form's action...... If you know any php/cgi stuff, you can easily whip up a little...

    data loggers

You obviously didnt do a prac like this then? (I'd be complaining to the science faculty for the coming years sake, as there are so many physics/chem pracs that need dataloggers now...) Datalogger: its like a little computer boxy-thing, that you can either use independant of a computer, or...

    Q2Q - Lots of dp

What text book do you have? Jacaranda covers all this pretty well. 1. I'm pretty sure that this one refers to the nuclear reactor that he set up in a squash court in a Chicago university in December 1942. He used Uranium Oxide set into a huge number of graphite blocks, and cadmium control...

Major Project - what are you doing?

You wont screw the OS if you don't change anything 'critical' to it... If you installed VB6 on your comp, then you should also have a program installed, which you can access from the start menu called: "API Text Viewer" (For me: Start--> All Programs--> Microsoft Visual Basic 6--> Microsoft...

Major Project - what are you doing?

Chris... I havent run it yet - because it quit when i pressed 'no'... But next time: for 'security' reasons... Don't make something like the file which stores the number of uses remaining so 'obvious'... Like - at least call it something like 'opt.dat' and put it in another directory. Ok -...

    HSC Tips - Mechanics

Depends on whether they mention if the object has a mass. If the object is massless (or of unit mass) then your equations are independant of mass (so F = ma becomes F = a)

    A perfect circle

This CD is so on par with some of the Tool albums even. Just great! Except for the stupid bloody copy-controlled shit that EMI thinks will stop people copying the cd... Just means that it wont even play in my mp3cd player.

Other theorems w/ regard to markers

Wacky: did you ever do any of the USYD/NSW AMOC programs? There was some Pigeon Hole Principle in them (quite a bit), so maybe you should look over that if you have it. They did ask PHP not long ago if i remember rightly (like - something in a q8). I dont think they'd ever ask a simple php...
