i did hte distinction course as well... i did absolutely no work for it, except pulling a couple of late nighters finishing (well.. starting) assignments due the next day, and i got a hd. basically, you take a stand, heckle other ppl who are taking other stands and cut down ppl who are trying...

*agree... esp those theatres where u don't flip the tables DOWN, u flip them UP from the side... one push and they topple forwards dumping all ur stuff under the person who's in the row in front (who also happens to be a metre below you) so that in the end u can't reach ur stuff till the end of...

yep... but i've heard ppl put up parking places for rent for uni students... (??) 3 days a week eh.. =P if u find ppl who live near u who go on the same days, u'd be able to carpool and split parking costs but.

it's true taht nothing counts in yr 11, but i wouldn't advise slacking off english especially... The thing with english is that up to year 10, it's usually pretty relaxed and easy to get through... it totally changes in ur senior years... jus set up a timetable - concentrate on maths sure...

i saw everybody else reading it for english.. and after the hsc i thought what the heck, i shall join in the fun... and so i did... it had a really similar tone to 1984, i reckon. All depressive and uber-modern. Except a bit more twisted, and more adherent to genre features with the tragic hero...

yeh.. memorise it, but do heaps of practise questions so you can mould your essay to suit different ones. Lotsa ppl are gonna say that's cheating and defeats the purpose of the course, but the syllabus is such that you KNOW what the question is =P so u may as well work with it. 50 minutes...

the thing is, students tend to do a bit better in the project than the elective.Well that was the case in my year... hmm... For the top students, it doesn't really make a big difference, but if ur not an uber-ag student, you're better off doing project.

no2 isnt a mixture.. it's a pure substance. possibly it's talking about air.. that's a mixture with nitrogen in it yeah =)
