Evolution of Programming Languages question ...

Correct me if I am wrong but this is all just theoretical isn't it? How can anything not be done sequentially? It might not look like it's sequential to us but deep inside the code of a logic language things are done in a particular sequence aren't they? How can you possibly have something which...

    CSSA Trail Results

I did an independant paper but our teacher gave us the CSSA one along with answers for more practice. I've only done section 1 and 3 but so far it looks like it was a reasonable paper. Few ambiguities here and there but not too bad. The evolution of programming languages questions were quite...

French Speaking today, I must congratulate the females...

Yeah I was actually surprised by the number of hot girls wearing low pants.

The Official French Continuers & Extension Speaking Exams 2005 Thread - POST IN HERE!

I'm quite annoyed. My examiner didn't ask me any good questions. I was expecting her to ask about my background (since I'm a native speaker) but she did none of that. It pisses me off because I had done a lot of work and would have been able to give in depth responses.ie: comparisons between...

    Theory: Angles of magnitude

Thank you, it's a lot clearer now.

    Area

Find the exact area bounded by the curves y=sinx and y=cosx in the domain 0<=x<=2PI. I don't know how to find the points of intersection (I'm tired shh).

    Inverse trig question

When we are just given an inverse equation such as y=sin-1x, do we automatically assume that it is a function (ie: domain and range have been restricted) or do we treat it as an inverse relation unless otherwise told?.

    Binomials

    200 words Pmistake = 1/800 * 200 = 0.25 Pcorrect = 799/800 * 200 = 199.75 mistake --> correction P0correction = 200C200 * (199.75^200) * [0.25^(200-200)] P0correction = (199.75^200) P1correction = 200C199 * (199.75^199) * [0.25^(200-199)] P1correction = 50 * (199.75^199)...

    When studying for maths

I say do it topic by topic. First brush up on all the concepts of a topic, and once you have that down get yourself one of those past hsc exam books that list past hsc questions by topics. If you don't understand a question they have full answers which realy help.

    Doing tutoring after HSC?

I wish I had a private tutor. My learning time would be used much more effectively. I think that it is pretty unfair that there are no internal assessments and that the HSC counts for everything for those who are homeschooled / have private tutors. It would be so much easier for them to achieve...

    IMPORTANT: PAPER 1 n 2 ESL

I think you misunderstood his first question. I believe that he was referring to the last question in the reading section of paper 1 which is usually worth about 7 marks. I think that you only need 1 to 1.5 pages for that one but I am not certain. I guess it would really depend on other factors...

    Neap Trial Exam 2005

I'd understand if it was still profitable but I imagine that after all the school's that bought it have used it there is little point in going through such drastic length to protect it. :/ I don't really care, I'm just confused.

    Neap Trial Exam 2005

That is ridiculous and your efforts are ludicrous. This is the internet, the land of free information and no one can stop it from getting online. And why would a past exam be copyrighted? What is the purpose going through such trouble? It's a good thing we still have email communication, p2p...

    Permutations

Are you allowed to repeat digits? For example would 332 be valid?

    Theory: Angles of magnitude

I know angles of magnitude are a year 10 concept but after 2 years I have to admit that I am still having trouble understanding most of the theory behind them. I don't have any problems doing the angle of magnitude trig questions but it is the concept which I fail to fully comprehend. The proofs...

2005 CSSA Mathematics Trial Results Thread

I did the NAFT trial. Got 104/120, or 87%. Was fairly content with that mark but there's a lot of room for improvement. I haven't received my 3U mark back yet but I am dreading it.
