    CSSA 2005 trial

Um...I think you should look up the word "forum" in the dictionary. I don't need an exclusive pass to involve myself. May I also point out that he never asked your opinion, so really, according to your bizarre logic, you weren't involved either. Next time I'll be sure to ask your permission...

    CSSA 2005 trial

What the hell are you talking about? Are you that immature that you can't even carry on an intelligent discussion, having to resort to such petty primary school playground calls simply because I disagree with you? I saw you rip into that guy because he only wrote about 4 pages, screaming at him...

The definition of a "short story" is rather broad though. Postmodern short stories, for example, usually incorporate a wide range of other text types, and from I've learnt that's pretty much what they're looking for. You'd be hard-pressed to find a linear narrative in the showcase.

Actually, yes, it does, in my handwriting anyway. I wrote 6.5 A4 for the essay and that's roughly equivalent to the 1.5 8-page booklets I've used for other subjects.

Thanks. Yeah, he's in Year 11...going on to do 4 unit too, so I'm a bit pissed that he's getting ranked higher...

I don't do 3 unit. Our under-resourced school holds Extension Maths and Extension English at the same time, and I chose English...

I got 117/120, which was 2nd. The top mark at our school was 119/120, and the worst part is he's not even in Year 12.

    exams today!!

The source really didn't have an opinion, so I found myself quoting Mr Macintyre out of context so as to make him seem like one of those really rigid and stuffy professor types.

The questions were whipped up in less than a minute. I should know, my teacher contributed to them.

how many debates r u preparing?

As far as I know they never ask for three debates - the most is two, with three historians. I'm personally preparing two debates, and examining two historians within each debate.

Yes, the picture was rather shit...I ended up saying two features were a "murky swamp" caused by heavy French rain and "ravaged trees and landscape" caused by artillery bombardments. Classmates put down "barbed wire", insisting that if you squinted you could see some in the background, but I'm...

    Major Work Research

I think it's a bit of a sweeping and erroneous statement to say that those students lacked any "true ability". It's difficult to give the impression of "true ability" in 8000 or so words (even less for other forms such as poetry). The works do seem pretentious at first, but when you actually...

    CSSA 2005 Legal Studies Trial

Um...what? The dispute involved the unlawful use of the band's logo by the party organising the band's venue. It had nothing to do with the band not "delivering" their services.

    UAC pins

Use the latest one. You'll notice on the UAC letter it says to disregard the pin if you're studying subjects ahead of your cohort, so the latest one you received should be the one to use.

You should still apply, but inform the university that accepts you that you wish to defer (most offer up to one year deferral).

You're thinking of the numbers in terms of variables. There were no variables, hence only 1 answer.

In this case it comes down to semantics. I would say testing a point on either side is proving. You don't need a written proof per se to prove something.

Official 2005 CSSA Trial Exam Thread

If the question says "find", "solve" or "calculate" you are not required to show any working. If it's worth 3 marks and you give the correct answer without working, you get the 3 marks. If, however, it says "show" or "prove" or something to that effect, you're required to show mathematically...
