i think its actually +2.03V cause u gotta *-1 to the anode voltage, and the cathode voltage is +1.23 not minus. so 0.80 + 1.23 = 2.03V positive. its a good method to write out all the possible equations, and see which one is have more oxidation potential for anode and reduction potential...

shit, that is so like me. in yr11 i looked at the book once and was dazed as i dun know anything. but in yr12 i forced my self to look and now like chem and find it quite easy and intuitive. but still disadvantaged by knowing absolute 0 year 11 chem. confident about a band 5 for hsc

well such detailed reasons are not required. remember a few figures and use ur common sense and world knowledge to bullshit on the reason behind it. as long as its reasonable and fit the time period it will be ok ok :rolleyes:
