    Lab equipment sketches

It's basically just a simplified cross-section taken along the long axis of the test tube, beaker etc. Here's one I prepared earlier: Is that what you're talking about?

    Dna

    1. No idea. I think it's in the millions and changes depending on the function of the cell. But I guess that doesn't really help. 2. U (Uracil) - A (Adenine), G (Guanine) - C (Cytosine).

Help needed about carbon dioxide in blood

As far as I know, you won't need to know something like that.

    homeostasis - metabolism

An organism will increase metabolism in order to keep warm because this requires energy (converting fats and sugars), which can be converted to heat.

    Architecture!!!

Nah, there aren't any exams, just heaps of assignments. So that is either good or bad depending on what you prefer. But I suppose it's always comforting to know that you won't have to do alot of "cramming" if the situation ever called for it. The vast majority of projects aren't group work as...

    Supernatural...any fans??

I think the last episode that was shown on TEN was the last episode they finished before the Writer's Strike began. IMDB says the next episode will air on the 24th of April in the US.

    co-ord. geom qs (no. 3!)

The way I always did these questions was to make a number plane and plot the points. You can then figure out D pretty easily. I know it kind of sounds like a cheat way out, but I always seemed to get full marks doing it that way, I think.

    Cricket Season 2007/2008

I always feel disappointed when Gilchrist gets out for not many runs. It'd be great if he could get at least 50 really quickly every match... EDIT: At least we got to see Symonds take down a streaker.

    A little help?

"It allows a business to issue new shares via a prospectus to raise equity finance." I still have that ingrained in my head.

    Quickly correct my adaptations

I think you have to be a bit more specific than just "trees" and "small birds". You need to have a specific species of plant or animal e.g. Eucalypts or Red Kangaroo. But to correct your adaptations so you have an idea for the adaptations you decide to choose for your specific species: What...

    Similie

For example, if your hair was "as sleek as a fish" it might mean it's smooth and slippery. Or if someone's a good swimmer they might say they move through the water "as sleek as a fish". That's how I interpreted it anyway.

    Spore

Somehow, I wouldn't be surprised if the release date slipped to "Early 2009". But then again, I'll be pleasantly surprised if it does come out this year.

    Help

Let's see... - Derivitate it and you should get 5-4x i.e. first derivative is 5-4x or y' = 5-4x. - Derivativise it again and you should get -4 i.e. second derivative is -4 or y'' = -4 - For a maximum, it must be stationary (first derivative = 0) and concave down (second derivative < 0) -...

Hehe. When I first heard him say that, it sounded like, "Show me your boobs."

    Supernatural...any fans??

Re: Spoiler for 3.07, if you live under a rock. It's about time it came back on. I was hoping they wouldn't just dump the show to Ten HD. But now I won't be able to watch the show in glorious 1080p high-definition. Oh well. I'll still enjoy it.

    Cricket Season 2007/2008

Australia probably doesn't need another seamer at the moment, seeing as Lee and Clark are in fantastic form and Johnson's slowly getting better, unless one of them is injured. Like you said, more likely to be Haddin for No. 400. As for Rogers, it will probably largely depend on his form between...

    Help !!!! - Feature and Technique - What's the difference ?????

I've always thought they were the same. Way back in Year 11 our teacher introduced us to the phrase "textual feature", and encouraged us to use that instead of "technique" in our essays. But it doesn't matter at all which word you use.

    Song techniques?

Many of the techniques songs use are very similar to the techniques used in poems. The most obvious is repetition, which usually occurs in the chorus, to place emphasis on a particular point. But there are also other common techniques like metaphors, enjambment etc.

    Why So Serious?

I can't say I'm not excited. I enjoyed the "first" movie immensely even though I wasn't a huge Batman fan. Too bad the movie's still another six months away.
