    Attention all uncle bos'ers!!

Yeah it was totally a hoax. I got my hopes up when I saw a guy with a mullet, but he wasn't a sick Ukrainian that you would see cruising around the streets of Kiev, more like one you'd see in the slums of Vilnius, Lithuania.

    Attention all uncle bos'ers!!

I might see if La Bomba makes an appearance. Can't wait to see the man tbh, great admirer of his ever since I took his lifestyle advice and started pulling in the chix :spin:

    First Day of Uni...

What about how A/Prof Wanless mentioned my affinity for sodium in CHEM1010 today. Classic stuff. How easy/boring is it though, year 10 science/year 11 basic chemistry :o

    PHYS1210 wtf?

A lot of 1st year eng students are doing Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9-6 or 7, maths lectures in the morning at 9, phys1205 lectures in the afternoon that end at 6. :fish:

    Registration System...

Protips: - Log into registration thing 5-10 mins before it opens for your particular course - Hit refresh as soon as it reaches the opening time (pointless doing beforehand, they always open at the exact times) - Wait for it to load for a couple of minutes. Even with this prostrategy you are...

    Chem1010

Chemical Eng/Science Chem major. My best chance at stealing precious supplies of Sodium, perhaps a bit of Potassium, and if I'm lucky enough some Caesium... Rubidium isn't wanted.

wtf!? I couldn't register in time either, got on at 10 and kept timing out for 15 mins, times all booked. They're only making available 9 of the 10 options they put out on the timetable, so will they make the last option available (Thursday 1800-2100) later or what?

    3-unit Maths - Hard much

Crazy shit at times, a great subject at others. The main problem is that we have the kind of teacher that just runs through everything really fast. She expects us to write and watch/learn all at the same time, and doesn't go back over to explain. Once you understand it a week later it's not so...

So now that exams are practically over..

Yup, I didn't really want to do extension English, but it was either take up this 1 unit or 2 units of Biology, a whole new subject. I don't plan on dropping anything yet, I think I'll just play it as it comes, might even keep 12 units for the HSC if I can.

    Reflections on years 7-10

Yeah, the history syllabus is really stuffed. I really think that much more emphasis through the years should be made about world history (not just ancient either). Let's see, all I'm supposed to know about world history is: - Egypt - Native Americans - Broad medieval period (mostly focused on...

    'All My Own Work'

Haha! My dodgy school didn't even bother checking everyone did it. All they instructed was for us to go the the Board website and do the quizes on it. No checking at all. I'd say 30%+ didn't even do this. lol, I didn't read through a single piece of information there, just answered the quiz...

    Are you dropping out?

Well I wasn't saying that outright. More generalising for the majority. What I'm saying is that most people do not have the eithic for school work and learning, initially at least. IMO this can change as people learn the values of work.

    Reflections on years 7-10

Was it all worth it? Basically reflecting on your high school studies over the past 3 years and looking at moving on to the HSC. From my own experience I would say that it went nowhere near the full potential of what I could have learnt from years 7-10. English was probably the most pointless...

    SC Marking/Results Process

Re: Obtaining SC Results So does this mean that for example (very roughly) in one test the top 10% score raw marks of 95-85, this is then aligned to be closer to 100-90 to have a more accurate band 6? Not these exact figures of course.
