    SC 2007 - Science

The ball would not reach the speed of light, it would just reach its terminal velocity. This is the highest speed that an object can reach on earth due to wind resistance (it would be different in a vacuum). This is why skydivers don't accelerate infinitely. As for the straight line idea, I...

    SC 2007 - Science

Hmm, maybe I should have read the full question in the human activity and gases one. I was thinking of only 3 answers, but duh, there has to be 4. Oh well, 1 wrong but all the others confirmed. And here's what I remember of the ball one (the gist of it anyway) "A ball is rolled down a smooth...

    Cross section in Geography

Unlikely that you'll have to draw the cross-section (could though), but I've seen questions in the multiple choice that refer to it. You should learn both things IMO if you want to be prepared for anything.

    SC 2007 - English-literacy

Well so far so good then in terms of responses from you guys. Confidence ^^

So, how did everyone find English and Science?

For the satellite thing I put arrows A> B(down) C<, which seemed right. Summing up the exams so far, nothing difficult in terms of knowledge, just a few iffy questions that could turn out to be false. With luck I'll have 2 band 6's so far...don't want to jinx it though!

    SC 2007 - English-literacy

phew, thanks. I was fearing that I might be marked down for not having a huge response to that first question (mine went for about 4 lines). How long did people make this interview? Oh and I was pretty confident with the busy thing. Trying to think of more... - For the Yowie webpage it asked...

    SC 2007 - Science

I was really tired during the second half of this. In the first half I was absolutely pissed because the whole school was having lunch outside our hall, and the noise was so distracting. Thankfully I got a chance to go back through some of these questions. Multiple choice and the word response...

    SC 2007 - English-literacy

I referenced the SC as well, although not me personally. English was pretty much English. Multiple choice was fine as normal, except for those few questions that could be either 1 or the other. I think I had about 5 of those. What did everyone put for the setting the scene of 'The Birds'. I...

    'All My Own Work'

lol, I haven't even bothered to learn what this is either. Something to do with trying to stop plagiarism in year 11 and 12. Bludge from the sounds of things, so I'm not too worried.

What does implications of population trends mean

If I get questions like this in a test I just think 'Ok, what are the trends'. The trends are: Aging population (living longer and birth rate declining) Growing population (migration, higher life expectancy, more births than deaths) Urbanisation Flow of people to coastal areasSo to start off...

Chemistry--- 1 day to go= desperation kicking in

Well as I mentioned before there was a direct question about it in the written response section of the 2003 paper, and I've seen plenty scattered elsewhere. Oh well, I don't have a lot to study now on science, I think if all goes well I can get a band 6.

Chemistry--- 1 day to go= desperation kicking in

I've been doing a bit of study on acids and bases, turns out that you sort of do have to have a knowledge of reactions of acids and bases such as neutralisation. Wow, thanks a lot stupid science teacher for not mentioning this all year :burn:

Is the SC beneficial for the future ?

What I mean by that is, people who get band 4's generally aren't going to get >90 UAI.

Is the SC beneficial for the future ?

If you leave after year 10 I still don't think it matters if you get a band 5 or a band 3. If I was applying for a job in a specific industry I'd be more worried about previous experience and qualifications (e.g TAFE stuff) than the results of my SC. If you're going on to year 12 then, as...

    Geography Q

I wouldn't go too deeply into the pros and cons. But yeah, history on the link is good as others have menitoned (forgot that part). Contemporary issues are also good. Just keep in mind not to go too deeply into the other syllabus topics like roles of govt. and NGOs, treaties and advantages and...

    Geography Q

The nature of the link is basically what the link is (migration). So you'd be defining it first then later explain it a bit in relatin to Australia. As ace put it, it's sort of an introduction for people who don't know what it is.

    Sc Tmrw!

I keep getting distracted on here! Was anyone else happy to find that the two subject you have to study for (Science, His/Geo) are on separate days? I know I was. Also, what time does school start for you guys? Mine normally starts at 8.15 and ends at 2.20, but we don't start the SC till ~9 to...
