u should try reading the autobiography by Adeline Yen Mah...its interesting and the language is simple and somewhat soft flowing.

i really like 'catcher in the rye', i was familiar with the context, and the language was so easy to understand. the whole book just flowed well and i read it really quickly. the best book i've ever read is patrick suskind's 'perfume'. my favourite comfort books are lotr,the bartimaeus trilogy...

*there there* most of the ppl in my gen maths class, did advanced maths from yrs 7-10. all maths is hard. they do expect u to learn alot of content, and how they phrase things can be really confusing. anywho do all ur h/w when u get it and u'll improve.

you've prob already guessed it, but for those who didn't- my english teacher said a major theme for a short story this year is going to be 'mental disorders'.so if your doing anything concerning a a character with a mental disorder i suggest u try to think outside the box, to separate ur work...

i'm doin the portrayal of cleopatra over time. its a similiar topic to yours..and quite common..i'm focusing on how she is perceived and why. have you spoken to your teacher about ur topic?

ha! oh i totally feel for you. major works feel so personal..it's scary having peers judge your idea. i suggest u read urs first or second so as to get it out of the way and maybe after hearing other ppls stories they'll forget wot u read..if that helps.

i've done my proposal-due next week. i've done research, filled about 15 pages in my process journal and i've written 3 pages of my short story. thats about it.
