Well.. if you have faith in some of your old timers like Giggs, Scholes and Solskjaer to chip in with 10 goals each, there'll be enough coming from midfield to cover the loss of RvN anyway. Fergie seems to be thinking that anyway.

BOS Fasntasy English Premier League 2006/2007

Well.. in for another season. Is it just me or are all the decent defenders a lot more expensive this season? It's taken me so long to put a decent looking team together. Anyone care to share their starting squads? I've gone with: GKs: Robinson (5.5), Lee (3.5) DFs: Cole (7), Mellberg (5), A...

I think Adriano will still be top dog at Inter. Martins will surely leave, ditto Recoba, leaving them with a strikeforce of : Crespo, Adriano, Zlatan and Cruz. Scary stuff. On the other hand I hear Corinthians are at the bottom of the Brazilian league, that bodes well for United if they're still...

Yeah, Liverpool :) It'll be close this season, although United and Liverpool both need to sign a striker. I'm thinking Chelsea will drop more points if Mourinho decides to sacrifice Makelele to accomodate Ballack. We'll see how good Terry really is without the world's best DM mopping up in...

Haha.. we've beaten them in the CL, FA cup and Community Shield... now we're after the league cup.. LFC FTW!! Sorry, couldn't resist. I'm quite optimistic this season. Not winning wouldn't devastating, but we should definitely be closing the gap to about.. 3-9 points at most. Add a good CL run...

    Toughest Movie Lines

Frankly I'm surprised you didn't go with a similar line from Once Upon A Time In The West walrus. Harmonica is talking to the 3 assassins sent after him. Harmonica: And Frank? Snaky: Frank sent us. Harmonica: Did you bring a horse for me? Snaky: Well... looks like we're... Snaky: ...looks like...

    The new Joker

I don't read the comics, and I've only seen 2 of the movies. Nor am I saying that it's necessarily wrong to cast a black person as the Joker.. IF suited the role. But you said yourself that you wanted Chappelle for the controversy value.. to 'sell'. Here are the facts: Dave Chappelle is not an...

    The new Joker

Sure, better yet, why not make it a female, black, lesbian joker? They could cast Janet Jackson. /end sarcasm

    The new Joker

Quoted for emphasis. Yes.. playing the Joker sure killed Jack Nicholson's career didn't it.

    The new Joker

He's too honest looking an actor for the role, that's going to be the hardest thing to overcome. That, and the fact that he's also too brawny for the role.

    The new Joker

I think Christopher Nolan has just made the mistake that will kill the new Batman franchise.

The Daily Show with Jon Stewart

Anyone else a fan? I don't have Austar so I've had to make do watching the pages and pages of clips on youtube. Funniest political satire you can find on tv right now for me.

    Last movie you've seen?

Saw Pleasantville and State and Main, 2 fine films. State and Main was especially refreshing in the first half, but unfortunately, much like Wag The Dog, the other Mamet written film I've seen, the 2nd half started to lag and by the end I was a lot less interested than I was at the start.

    Tony Takitani (Murakami adaptation)

One of the stories- Firefly in Blind Woman is an extract from Norwegian Wood, one of its lovlier passages. Strange that he decided to include it though, I think Norwegian Wood is the one book that most Murakami fans would've already read..

    Tony Takitani (Murakami adaptation)

On the whole Kafka isn't one of my favourites. I enjoyed almost every page.. individually, for the lightness of the prose and most of the trippy episodes (the Colonel and Johnny Walker were particularly fun). But I couldn't help but suspect that I was far less moved than I was suppose to be...

    Tony Takitani (Murakami adaptation)

Ah.. first post on BOS in ages. If you're reading this walrus, sorry I didn't get back to you before about the movie, I've been tied up with a lot of annoying business lately. How's your timetable looking for the coming semester? If you have Monday or Friday off, and still want the movie, I'll...

The Official 2006 FIFA World Cup thread.

Anyone else think the S&M GK was absolute rubbish? I know they were quality goals, but it seemed as if he was totally petrified the whole time. Barely ever got off his line either.
