    MQ Student Election

Seriously, all a candidate has to do is find a way to reduce the cost of student living (via parking costs, textbook costs, food and beverage costs) and people will definitely vote for them. I know it isnt that simplistic but people will vote for the savings in their wallet above any...

    MQ Student Election

Communal lunch hour works at USYD law school but it cant work at MQ with the amount of people. Amy and Amelia have written all over the pavement at uni and Jarryd has some mega thing that I saw near the lecture theatre. Then the Asian bloke posts his resume and being a member of the...

    MQ Student Election

Textbooks subsidies via a HECS based scheme could work. Effectively, you get a yearly $1500 max limit on Govt support of textbooks. The textbooks would be paid off at the end of the degree in addition to HECS. At present, we are forced to fork out exorbitant amounts for 6 months use...

    Business Statistics thread

Is Sara still the lecturer? The subject needs to be taught in a different model. Should be a 1 hour tut, 2 hr computer lab. I cant learn from someone using a computer and me just watching.

    General UTS chit-chat

Re: The UTS 'Secks and omg it is Week 5 already!' Thread I found all the Economics tutes and lectures fairly hard to learn in. Chris Bajada has a lot of knowledge in the area but at 9 am on Tuesday morning was really hard to follow. Maybe I needed more coffee or he needs to slightly dumb...

    Law RPL

Hi, I am just wondering if anyone is aware of the new RPL requirements for Perspectives of Law and Legal Research and Method. I am from MQ and I plan to switch to Bus/Law at UTS. I have completed Jurisprudence and Law, Lawyers and Society as intro units which I think incorporate much of...

    General UTS chit-chat

Re: The UTS 'Secks and omg it is Week 5 already!' Thread Its all time management. I have found lectures so useless that I only attend the 1st one every semester as a general rule.

    400/500 Law Electives

MQ Uni need a survey where they provide a list of units that other unis provide and that they dont provide. People should tick which ones appeal to them and if they gain a certain percentage, they should be taught by MQ. MJ..... same problem with Sports Law at UTS. Why would I do a...

    400/500 Law Electives

PS: MJ, it sounds very impressive. That is a very good thing to have on your resume. A submission to the LRC.

    400/500 Law Electives

Why do MQ have to be so difficult at everything? They only hold electives every 2 years. BUT wait for it, they wont ever update the electives to student needs. Seriously, some tutor mentioned what subjects we'd like seen added to the degree and people added Sports Law as an elective. It...

    Degrees at 2 diff unis

Jurisprudence is like working out whether the wall is off white, cream, beige or egg shell (courtesy of Dulux). And after all, the answer is the wall is fucking white. (edit: cos you can say fuck on this forum!)

    law transfer for macquarie university

hahaha funny you say that mel. I was told for Arts, I'd only need to do 3 x 300 units to graduate with an Arts degree since it has no pre reqs.

Is Macq Law better than UTS law?

If its the law part, you are concerned about do the LLB at UTS. If you want an Arts/Law degree with Politics, go to MQ. Malfoy.... how did that protest go? I am sort of torn between both sides.
