    i dunno if this has been asked before, but I'm not gonna get into law at unsw next year, but if I do arts, and then try to transfer into doing law as well, will I need extra time to catch up on what I've missed?

    i memorised the ideas from essays and i got 92 in the exam and 91 for my final mark. For me it did work, but I did that partly because I saw ppl who weren't English buffs getting good marks because of that. I do agree they need to work on changing the exam so it's not like they ask the same...

    nope, they're not allowed to publish uais like that. After the Mt Druitt debacle, courtesy of the tele, uais are no longer made public.

    Money spent on tuition

    I got tuition in English since August last year. It paid off, with a 91 in Advanced. I got a good deal too, $70 for 2hrs a week. I can't be bothered calculating. Maybe $4000 all up, give or take a bit.

    Where do you read?

    normally bedroom or outside on the balcony, with the sun shining. I read in silence mostly, otherwise it can be difficult to concentrate. When I can, I'll go outside and sit on my back on the cliff, cos it's really peaceful.
