Good news. That 'tackle' deserves 4 games.

Yeah.. I was just wondering why he mentioned a Swede, did the SBS team mention it? I was watching it in Chinese this morning.

When did I say anything about Ericksson? LMF- But are Villareal and Benfica better than Betis and Chelsea..hmm.. food for thought.

Well well well.. United's in what's arguably the second easiest group of the CL. Surely this is the end for Fergie. Hopefully this doesn't mean that we won't get Simao now.

My Favourite Film On The Abc

I don't hate Dead Man, I was just expressing my shock, seeing as how it's the only Jarmusch movie there.

I find it hard to believe that you can be a die hard fan of the Premier League and such a tough critic of the long ball at the same time. If anything, the EPL is becoming less boring to watch because it's adapted a more European flavour in recent years.

The Official Miscellaneous Late Night SBS Movie Thread

In the past couple of years SBS has been giving a lot more attention to the highly acclaimed, relatively popular international and independent American movies than it had in the past. It's been showing Amelie every couple of months lately. I'm surprised they haven't done the same with Life is...

^^ For someone who such contempt for how Liverpool play football, you seem to have spent a lot of time observing them.. or did most of that insight come from the 3 Champions League matches SBS has shown of Liverpool playing Chelsea in the past 7 months, and one article regarding who played the...

Poor comment. There have been 19 goals scored in Liverpool's last 7 EPL matches and 17 in Chelsea's last 7. The 0-0 results have been coming from European games, where it's been advantageous for both to play defensively (not so much this morning for Chelsea though). Ironically, the 2 UCL matches...

That's what they said about Cryuff's dream team as well. Then they got trashed 4-0 in the final by Milan.. Nevertheless I'm damn happy Liverpool will be avoiding them. Good result for us. Essien's tackle on Hamann needs to be reviewed. The guy definitely needs a few weeks off to put some sense...

The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe- a Christian agenda?

As I said, it was a long time ago that I read the Narnia books, so it's hard for me to refer to specific incidences. Instead I will refer to the first entry that came up when I googled 'narnia arab racism'. http://www.detnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20051201/ENT02/512010388/1037/ENT05

The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe- a Christian agenda?

I know there's another thread for LW&W, but this is somewhat different. Spoiler warning for anyone who somehow hasn't read the Chronicles of Narnia. Polly Tonybee of the Guardian has launched a stinging attack on the The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe's aggressive Christian themes. Very...

Alonso is rested against Chelsea, that could be decisive. Jose has said that he'll be fielding his best XI, so the Reds could have their work cut out.

Solskjaer is probably past it. He always was one of Fergie's favourites though, so you never know, he might still get a good run.. ahead of Park anyway.

Yes I do, but Pennant has settled under Bruce and remains of their few bright sparks for Brum. If we got him, he'd be a very handy understudy to Joaquin (or more likely, Simao), and we'd be able to keep Stevie in the centre, similar story for Upson and Carra. Forssell was a one season wonder at...

Considering the squad he's got at his disposal, Bruce has made a terrible mess of things. Hopefully they get relegated, then Pool can pick up Pennant, Upson and maybe Forssell on the cheap. 3 great squad players that would probably available for around 5-6mil all together.
