Of course but consider the GP's, wouldn't a sudden influx cause problems for some GP's? For example, the number of patients? People have choice but too many GP's could have the same affect as having too many IT's. Hmz didn't consider the fact that the specialty has a limited number of places per...
Agreed,
go to the orientation days... It's amusing how people describe how torturous the hsc was and how they can't wait to begin their med degree...
Some of them though I see going a long way, smart kids
Between uws and unsw I would go unsw but I'm attracted to uws because its mbbs course is young..
On a serious note I wouldn't reject an mbbs offer from any nsw university... I know of somebody who chucked a shitty becuz she was rejected by usyd, and her parents sent in letters asking for a full...
Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhh
$110k sounds about right. Location can determine the salary I suppose. You wouldn't expect to earn as much a city doctor if you are a rural doctor, but hey, GP's are springing up all over the place. In 2008 alone 4 new GP's opened in my area.
Too many GPs = :(
When you're in the red, such as myself ololz, it means when you rep someone it will appear as neutral.... E.g. I don't meet the requirements to rep queers who take reps too serious becuz I'm -rep
So given your experience with different areas of medicine, what specialty do you think you will pursue?
Last question, have you guys experienced first hand notifying a family that their relative has died? Curious to know when they push you to do that... if yes, I solute. Oh, and classmates...
Lolz at "he's a jerk". I worked at Penrith Medical Centre for about 3 months, PT. I remember one of the head nurses pointed at the screen which showed $311.000... Don't know what it was for but I'll guess and say it was money contributed from the 3 doctors who jointly own the practice to cover...
Whoa, your response reignited my interests greatly.
Don't know why but I lose interest. I think it's the competition, the idea of thousands of candidates eats at me... turns me off.
Anyway thanks for the information.
There's a quiet official MQ forum where a nice lady named Katherine will answer any questions you have in regards to admissions and course structure (I believe she works at the campus). She will know which courses will run this mid-year.
Click the link and fire away:
Macquarie University...
The past few years there has been. Depends on numbers.
Biomedical I'm not too sure however I know they usually run B.Sci in Bio, Chem and Phys.
And some other electronics tech science course.
Btw if you're interested B.Sci Bio has the option of Human Biology - Anatomy and Physiology major.
Sounds intriguing, really does.
May I put a few questions forward? My apologies for hijacking the tread.
1. Is there much lab work during the first year? For example viewing different specimens of skin disease (strange example, i know), do you use microscopes much?
2. Do you cover the history...
I'll tell you what's the worst, students who have never learnt to chew with their mouth closed. I turn around and give the stink-eye. They remind of those clowns with a rotating head; you know the game where the aim is to throw a ping-pong ball into its mouth? Do it next time you come across a...
Have a chat with the course coordinator, they will allow you to join if there's a vacancy.
After this week though you're really pushing it. They will refuse due to the amount of course content missed.
