My Favourite Film On The Abc

Sorry I came off that way. It's just disappointing to see such a predictable list.

I can't believe Dead Man made it into the top 100. Worst Jim Jarmusch/Johnny Depp movie ever... Other than that and one or two others, it's a mind numbingly predictable list. Were David and Margaret on this panel? Were they appalled?

Interesting.. someone let me know on this thread when one of these lesbian vampire movies next comes up. It sounds like I've really been missing out :p

Judith Lucy was on the panel? Good that I didn't watch it then. That woman is abysmally unfunny. Thank god Will Anderson took over the Just for Laughs duties.

My Favourite Film On The Abc

Don't want to know about any list with Lord of the Rings at no.1 Lousy, unimaginative list. Princess Bride is probably the only (and still rather small) surprise.

To be fair to Wigan, their losing streak has been against teams that any of the relegation candidates are also sure to lose. Unless something has snapped in their mentality, it's hard to see them not picking up 15 points in the next 24 matches. One of those weeks for me in the fantasy league...

Looks like Arsenal are having a struggle as I predicted. Liverpool will almost certainly cement 3rd this week then... provided United don't choke at home to Portsmouth. Sunderland 1-0 up against Spurs as well.

The first goal was the flukiest deflection I've ever seen. 2nd was class.. Garcia's goal to round off the scoring was another fluky piece of work. Oh well.. Pool up to 2nd until United and Arsenal play.

Rafa's La Liga winning side of a couple of years back didn't have any firing strikers. Their top scorer honours went to Mista, who scored a whopping 9 goals. I believe Rafa is trying to build a similar sort of team here, hence the reason he offloaded the Euro2004 golden boot winner to bringing...

The Official Miscellaneous Late Night SBS Movie Thread

Here's a thread for discussing all those weird and wonderful movies you happen to catch one late night or another on SBS. I'll get us started with this very odd Hungarian flick I saw tonight called 'Temptations' about this guy called Marci. Marci has a few family issues- he doesn't know the...

I'd say Kaka is the leader of a pack of players behind Ronaldinho at the stage for best attacking player in the world (Messi, Deco, Rooney, Tevez, Gerrard, Lampard, Eto'o, Zlatan, Schevchenko, Henry and Adriano being the other candidates) and wouldn't warm the bench in any club in the...

You'd think that Kaka's buy out clause would be somewhere very close to Scheva's.. which is around £60. Only Real and Chelsea can pay that sort of money. I think Real have at last found a serviceable replacement for Makelele in Garcia. The fact that they're still struggling says to me that...

23 goals and 16 assists in all competitions says Lampard was a worthy top 3 candidate for the best player of the year.

Have you seen the goals yet? The vision from Xabi is literally supernatural. From his position, it would've been very difficult if not impossible to see where Garcia was. I can only assume that it was a well rehearsed move in the training ground.

Charlton's lost 4 on a trot, thankfully I sold Murphy a couple of weeks back, or my gameweek would've been even uglier than it is now.

If Wenger goes, Arsenal's perenial place in the top 4 will be taken by Tottenham. Anyway, Liverpool move up to 4th with an easy win over a shitty team. Top stuff. I'd say the table's looking a lot closer to how things will finish at the end of the season now, except Wigan will probably be...

Actually in his first season at Barca, Ronaldinho did plenty of tracking back and tackling. It's one of the reasons people were talking about how he 'single handedly' turned their season around. As for great players who never tackled, Pele's probably the best candidate. George Best was...
