They wouldn't release the information in regards to how they utilize the STAT score in determining candidates.

Re: First Preferences? yeah this true... med sci is like the HSC all over again... first year subjects include bio, chem, math, and some physics... this is for most streams of science... you need to build on the skills you learnt during the HSC thank fuck english subjects are over...

Re: First Preferences? I've only just noticed the UAI cut off for advanced science @ UNSW will be high for 2008, mainly because they've introduced the advanced mathematics into the title... I will be removing this preference. the uai for 2007 was 90.00, what's the bet the uai cutoff for 2008...

Well, you could be right. I heard somwhere that they don't combine STAT ranks with your UAI for pharmacy - this would be unfair. Think about it, if a student earned a UAI of 100, and failed miserably in the STAT, they wouldn't allocate them a place, right? er...? wtf! Entry into pharmacy...
