Heaps have people have said to forego the bridging course, and they sound like they know what they are talking about. I reckon don't do it (but then again you prob shouldn't take my advice) and don't be afraid to ask for help at Uni if you find you need it.

I really have no idea how I'll do (marks-wise). I thought I blitzed my yearlys last year but only got an average mark (it wasn't bad, but wasn't brilliant either) but I went pretty good in the assessments. I always seem to have trouble gauging how I am going.

having said they're scaled together, it is much harder for a standard student to prove they are of a high standard (ie in band six or high band 5) because their paper doesn't provide for it whereas the advanced paper is just that, so to get an even average mark on the advanced paper is...

read the notes from markers on the Board website. They say quite clearly that they don't appreciate (most-yours may have been adapted very well) prewritten essays as they are often off-topic and try and manipulate the questions to fit the essay instead of the other way around.

hmmmm yeah I didn't want to do crime fiction either but it seemed better than the others. I contemplated teaching it to myself but scrapped that idea cos I realised you'd still have to do in-school assessments on the other stuff

yeah I know that thats why Im trying to write out study notes at nite but at the moment Im recovering from major burn out you have no idea I bludged entire 4th term away cos I was still recovering from prelim and I just need to gather myself at the moment

I don't think there is. Content is a different story, but its the same with constructing texts in general (i.e. content is the hard part). But when people say 'I don't know how to write an essay, I just don't get it' and they mean structure, thats what really gets me cos its so simple
