if you want a career out of music DO NOT go to Newcastle Con!! as for getting into the con you will need to have a strong point of your playing that they think they can use eg: technique, tone, register, etc.. Presuming you are interested in the Classical course you will need to be familiar with...

Chamber Music is just a 3 credit point subject but yeh you actually get to play instead of sitting in a classroom its awesome :) maybe if SOMEONE came to the lunchtime concert THEY would know how AWESOME brass ensembles can be!! *listening to Berlioz - Harold in Italy.... whoa cool cello solo...
