There's no such thing as a marketing major in a Communications degree. The closest you would get is Advertising which you can major in doing BA Communication (Public Communication) @ UTS or B Communications (Advertising) @ UWS. I'm not sure about USyd but UNSW only has B Media and...

I'm doing first year Pub. Comm. @ UTS atm, but you'll have to be more specific with your questions.

media and communications is a UNSW course as far as i know - at UTS the course is called BA Communications and there are six diff strands you can select to study eg. public communication (which you can choose to major in either public relations or advertising), social inquiry, journalism, etc...

so far i don't recognise anyone from the lectures and i'm quite sure that you guys aren't in my tutes, but anywho, if you recognise me, feel free to say hey :)

O-Day was pretty good. Didn't expect to have pamphlets thrown in my face every 10 seconds though! I joined The Law Society, Debating Society, UN Society and Bharat and put my name down for Amnesty and UTS Revue. Should be fun though I only plan on being an active member of LSS and Debating.
