From the guy that brought you "Indoor cricket comp?" a few weeks earlier... now comes his newest idea: Jeopardy! Club!
Firstly, for anyone who doesn't know what Jeopardy! is, you should educate yourself on gameplay:

And you should educate yourself on...
So if all goes well, I'll be getting an offer for B Sc (Adv Maths)/B Comm. at UNSW in the Early February Round. Hitherto, I've been quite lax on deciding on what Commerce major I want to complete.
Now since double major's are not available in that program - I have to pick one. Thankfully, I've...
I was looking through a thread on another internet forum and this user was ike, "What? One of your friends is going to [the University of] Wollongong? My IT teacher went there and one of my Aussie friends said it's the bogan capital of the country!"
And then a Sydney student concurred with...
I'm in the process of enrolling at UNSW.
Now when the Early Feb. offers come around, I'm going to get another offer from UNSW for B Sc (Adv Maths)/B Comm.
Now as I've accepted my offer and am enrolling in stuff now for my B Sc (Adv Maths)... what am I supposed to do when I get my offer for B...
So I'm dead set on doing B Sc (Advanced Maths) at UNSW. But as you know, I only got 95.40 - fortunately, I got the UNSW AAA thing which gives me +5 points to get my ATAR to a whopping 100.40 (though not as good as troika_'s 102.40 or something).
I was strongly recommended by my teachers to do a...
So I went to Info Day, very nice overall - and figured that from the information they gave me, I could combine my B Science (Advanced Maths) degree with Commerce by approval of some sort.
Fast forward two days and I'm flicking through the UAC Guide and I see it listed as a course I could apply...
Oh hai,
I was looking through the sports pages of every university I was interested in - namely Sydney and UNSW, and I was appalled and shocked to find out that there is no indoor cricket competition at UNSW or Sydney.
Now obviously I'm not thinking this should be an all out Uni vs. Uni thing...
...and have resisted the urge to stare into those friendly-looking, clear, attractive, dark eyes enough to look through the book.
And apparently Sydney is... bad, or at least worse than I thought. Looking at some of these rankings:
Access by Equity Groups (whatever those are): 2 stars
Entry...
Similar to another thread on another forum, I'd like to ask which general area of mathematics would be best - with the indirect effect of your advice, influencing my decision.
Now what I've heard so far, is pretty much summed up as:
- Pure: It's beautiful! But you won't be famous if you do it...
I didn't.
Well, though I had some hopes - I realised they were dashed when I realised my work had three blank pages and I didn't think some stingy money making people (we'll call them "publishers") wouldn't want to waste paper for 'literary effect'.
So where I failed, did anyone succeed?
And...
Would we say that it is an appropriate measure of measuring the 'goodness' of a university?
I'm scanning through the website (http://www.gooduniguide.com.au/) and I'm not exactly sure what to think. I suppose it is reputable since it is pretty much the only ranking site out there (if we don't...
I figure I'd use the General forum since the previous posts have been lost...
Anyway, I put B Adv Science at Macquarie as my number 4 preference. And other than I think almost all of my science teachers and my maths teacher graduating from there - I'm not sure about the state of the modern...
So anyway I got my ATAR of 95.40... and my top four preferences are (with 2009 cutoffs):
B Science (Adv Maths) - Sydney - 98.00
B Science (Adv Maths) - UNSW - 96.40
B Science (Advanced) - Sydney - 95.00
B Science (Advanced) - UNSW - 94.00
Now based on this I can only get to my third and fourth...
Found this on the Board of Studies website:
</dd></dl>From: http://www.boardofstudies.nsw.edu.au/hsc-results/services.html
So does that mean... we have to pay more money?
I figure that since there is a lack of topics in this forum... and because of the ill-timed meltdown of the forums that has rendered most of the Exam Thoughts forum to be empty - I'd post something.
So, how are we getting our HSC results?
Like I'll click on a thread link and then... yeah. Screenshot:
I do realise the irony of this being posted in a thread - but maybe you need super-awesome permissions like being an Admin to see threads and posts?

EDIT: I can see this one and another one posted today. So... I assume this...
I have a Wide Reading Assessment, and I was wondering if I could kill two birds with one stone by covering a Biography and Film in one big text. So the Biography of Mahatma Ghandi and the film, 'Ghandi'.
Would it be good?
After my Legal Studies teacher took the liberty to predict ATAR's during a boring Friday class and told me to play around with the UMAX calculator: UAI Calculator & ATAR Calculator
I've been thinking, is it really a good thing to do, or is it just putting unnecessary expectations on yourself...
