So we've got our recent assesement marks back for (2u) on functions and trig, and i just scraped a pass.
Should i consider dropping as a higher mark in general would be more beneficial towards my atar?
Apparently it stays around the same or becomes a lower mark due to poor scaling, my Construction teacher told me you can not get 99.95 with hospitality/business services/construction etc. So moral of the story a 98 in hospo will probably be (98) not 100.
edit:
According to the 2013 atar...
With The English exam, i structured the exam properly, unfortunately didn't answer the question properly leading to a 7/15 in the essay.
Also with physics, i got a couple of textbooks, they had sample prelim questions- i found that they didn't help that much, out of 100's of question only a few...
With English- I did finish the exam-10/15 minutes to spare, i lost marks with the creative and the essay- despite the fact i did alot of essay practice
With physics- i got lucky in terms of multiple choice, and the diagrams- some of the diagrams were like what the heck- but i wrote some sort of...
So we've gotten half our results back, and half of them are crap... despite the fact i was studying frequently 5/6 weeks leading to my half yearlies. My results were:
Standard English 45%
Maths (2u) 72%
physics 63%
pdhpe 89%
That's all we've gotten so far :(
Thanks for linking me to the guide, btw for English we have to write an essay about our novel, as questions will be asked about our area of study "Change", also we have to choose one of your texts which we did for our assignment and know it really well, as we will also have to write an essay...
Exams are coming up soon, and i have no idea what to study for English and construction, we've hardly taken down notes for both subjects as we've been reading most of the time.
