I personally am disgusted at the massive predominance of indigenous only scholarships, and they are on the rise. I think they are counterproductive.

Just because I haven't changed my mind doesn't mean the thread is useless. There's no logic in saying that. Just because I may or may not act on advice for whatever reason doesn't necessarily make the advice or the thread useless to me. FOr example I have found your advice to be insightful. :)
I never said I would do that. Actually let me clarify.
There is a 35 mins difference between Epping and Redfern. To get to MAQ I get off at MAQ University Station from Epping and I'm there in 4 mins. So there is at least a 30min difference. This is lowered if you include the 5 or so mins you...
That's okay. For the record I have preference by ATAR, so Sydney combined law is first, then MAQ combined law, then the next preferences is what I'm aksing about. Not much difference between the two in the area of Arts?
I've check and Maq is around a bit over an hour total travel, while Sydney...
I'm listening, the problem is its the same people commenting - not that I don't appreciate your input.
I have preferenced Sydney infront on MAQ in some regards so I wouldnt consider myself totally leaning to one over the other. I just really prefer the transport to MAQ over USYD.
MAQ wins on transport, and probably the social side of things.
USYD wins on academia although I wouldnt talk MAQ down on that.
My main question is - does it REALLY matter which one of these two I do arts at? Will it affect my employability greatly?
Ok the options I would have if I didn't make it into Sydney law:
1. Go to Macquarie Law
2. Start with Arts at Sydney
Assume I don't make it into Macquarie law:
3. Start with Arts at Macquarie
4. Start with Arts at Sydney
I don't think 2. or 4. would be worth it. Thoughts?
@ PwarYuex
1. you are talking about moving, which is different to everyday commuting.
2. i guess im being realistic in that my aim is to get into MAQ arts/law if not MAQ arts.
One of the problems I have with USYD is the travel fatigue I get when getting there and back. With Macquarie I can tell the difference (travel to MAQ can be about half an hour faster than USYD).
Imo MAQ has better scholarships for accommodation then USYD so if that happens then its obvious what...
So you get 1 hour tutorials for law? What about for arts? Do you think this is enough?
Nice. Are the mentor students paid?
Mooting ftw.
I've seen it and it looked pretty ordinary. Is the quality of law at MAQ something that irritates you or is it good enough for you not to go into picky...
