For q1, you can do it by combinatorics or recognise it's just a binomial distribution. I don't know how many times you want lol, but just use the formula
For q2, the best way to do these questions is to set up clear event notation:
Let Bi be the event the ball selected is done so from bag...
Yeah to maintain the at least 6.5 you gotta get mostly HD's but you can get a credit without ur GPA being irrevocably lowered compared to if you got a credit on the 4 point system
Here are my estimates:
ACST255 - Contingent Payements 95
STAT271 - Statistics 75
ECON204 - Macroeconomic Analysis 85
STAT175 - Gambling, sport and medicine 90
"It is expected that students will complete Consent Matters during their studies."
This makes me think that we arn't required to do it next sem or for that matter really at all. The only way I reckon a lot of people will do it is if they withheld exam results or something like that lol.
Work and relax. Will be the last real break I have for a while. Binging sherlock and getting back into gym running. How long will the module take to do?
All done! This sem was really challenging cause I didn't really take a break from last sem or summer school before that. I burnt out a few times but had a great support network. I've learnt my lesson 2.5 months of no studying! (0.5 prior I will pre-learn material for exemption units :) )
adv math at mq was 96 last time I checked. The reason most dont do concurrent is because of clashes and the subsequent issue of meeting credit point requirements for degree rules. For example I considered doing actuarial concurrent with econ but I wouldnt've been able to do all my actuarial...
Don't go to mq for advanced maths lol. Partially because the maths department isn't very good but also because doing concurrent degrees is a nightmare. Just go to unsw or usyd where they have what you're after.
Applied Finance is ok, it's not particularly difficult or interesting, but I'm more...
Actuarial is good and is well-recognised at Macquarie. However if you want a degree of competitiveness in the job market you really need to get a d average with all your exemptions plus ecs. To be honest, I wouldn't suggest doing a double degree with Actuarial unless you intended to pursue the...
If you want a challenge, try to solve the questions using a combinatorics proof i.e. design an experiment where the process generates both sides of the equation.
The bit you need to read properly is that "KOALA in the correct order". This doesn't imply that KOALA is adjacent, rather K__O_A_L_A___ etc. Try accounting for this.
