yeah it is just 1 of the processes involved in the treatment of drinking water. just in case you didn't know, here is a summary of the processes involved.
Coagulation – involves addition of chemicals, e.g. alum. Causes dirt and other solid particles to clump together.
Filtration – Water...
assuming this is the treatment of water.
flocculation is the mixing of chemicals with water. this suspends the particles, allowing them to be removed. lots of microbes may be present on the particles.
could also be called coagulation.
visualising this process is the best way to learn this.
CAUTION: WEIRD VISUAL PROCESS BELOW.
just imagine a ladder unzipping (DNA), another new half a ladder comes and binds onto this original half (mRNA). this NEW copy collects the genetic information and goes to float into the jelly...
i think by referring to the process through diagrams is what is meant by the model.
however here is a little more on the processes.
so dna holds information for creating proteins. (proteins are composed of polypetides.)
now there is 2 stages for production of polypetides. translation and...
Transcription is the process by which information ion the DNA is copied onto an RNA molecule. Translation is the process by which this information is used to make a new polypetide.

well there was a 5 mark question on hormone activity last year which isn't exactly hormone replacement but similar. if a question did turn up it would be more likely on this than hormone activity.
in the syllabus it doesn't specifically mention secretion but it is part of the active transport associated with kidneys as the toxins that diffused back in the blood are actively secreted into the nephron.
hope you see what i'm tryin to say.
