What do you want us to do for you? We can't do anything. Go to the teacher in your school who can change the passwords and stuff, you don't have to go through BOS...
Well HSC is the mark you get from the Board of Studies, and the scaled mark is what UAC does to make your ATAR. The scaled marks are then added and then give you an aggregate which is out of 500. To get an ATAR of 90 for last year, you needed about 365/500.
You can use this atar calculator to...
According to last year's A3 Table, if you got a HSC mark of 94 (need to be at least top 10% of state), it scaled down to 75. But that is not as low as it sounds... if all of your subjects were 75 scaled your ATAR would be 90+
Haha, with those ranks I would say 75 is definetly achievable. Get those ranks up and you can get 80+.
Try get top 40% for English = 81
Try get top 30% for IPT = 80
Try get top 20% for Maths = 81
Try get top 40% for Eco = 82
Try get top 50% for Accounting = 77
That would get you around...
Thanks to everyone for the helpful replies.
Yeah, I really need to improve business and general maths. For IPT, rank 1 is ahead of me by < 5%, so I will try and improve there. For general maths, I think I can break the top 5. Business is pissing me off, hopefully I try about rank 15th and...
Hey guys,
Would appreciate it very much if I could get an ATAR Estimate.
SUBJECT RANK MARK
English Adv 2/148 93%
IPT 3/17 84%
SDD 1/12 95%
General Maths 8/67 81%
Business 20/55 76%
School...
Added some tiny stuff to it. If anyone has any suggestions or anything please feel free to PM/Contact me.
I am actually in the process of making a database of courses and stuff, coming soon! :D
ATAR Calculators have nothing to do with prediction threads. You need to know what kind of HSC mark you can achieve, which can be roughly estimated by your ranks/school rank, before you can put it into the calculator. Thankfully there are people on BOS who are willing to give an estimate for us (:
I also use SAM, Matrix, etc for estimates, but every once in a while you do get a flood of these estimate threads such as now (right after the half yearlies). There are things which people can tell you that calculators can't. It might help with the scaling process, but what about aligning? This...
Nah brah, I was saying if you don't like the discussions or content of the HSC '10 forum then don't post here. Go post in other forums where the discussions and content are frequently about Muslims, Gays, politicians, and polls about how often you beat off a day. This forum is a place for ATAR...
