aye guys, I came across a couple of graphs when doin inverse trig that I could't sketch. Any help would be appreciated.
1) y = sin (cos inverse x)
2) y= sin inverse (cos x)
3) x= tan y -3pi/ 2 < x < 3pi/2
Thanks :)
I got half yearly's coming up in about 2 weeks, and circle geometry is being tested. I absolutely suck at circle geometry. I know the proofs, but i can never get my head around harder questions?
Any advise or tips?
Cheers
Im just about to start studying for the 3u half yearlys coming up in about 2 weeks. Anyone have any tips on how to get the best mark?
Which textbooks are good for 3unit, and are past half yearlies more important? Any tips would be appreciated.
Cheers
Is the substitution of u squared still part of the 3uint syllabus. I know a lot of 3u text books still have u squared, but Im pretty sure it got moved to 4unit? Anyone know anything about that ?
I worked through the rest of the exercise but I got stuck on question 3.
Find the equation of the locus of the point R that is the intersection of the normals at P(2p, p^2) and Q (2q, q^2) on the parabola x^2 = 4y, given that pq = -4
I know exactly what to do, but I was having trouble...
I found this question in the Purple Maths In Focus Book i.e. Maths Ext. Book 2 pg 396 qu. 2
Find the equations of the tangents to the curve x squared = 8y at the points P(4p, 2p squared) and Q (4q, 2q squared). Find the equation of the locus of their points of intersection if PQ is a focal...
Last year, I accelerated in mathematics 2uint, and obtained a mark of 90. I studied quite hard, and honestly I was expecting more, but as many of you know, last years paper (2009) was quite difficult. My teacher is know suggesting me to repeat, because he said that if yoy do it a second time...
Our school uses Maths in Focus aswell. For some topics its quite good, but not for all them. In my opinion, use maths in focus for school and for hw, but at home u can use fitzpatrick or cambridge at home for extra study + revision.
