AusPCMarket (Linky) is a bit pricey, but they have a pretty vast range of stock and they deliver damn fast. You should go on there just to get an idea of what you want.
Yeah that's what annoys me. People just want to get a few extra so they can get into the course they want. I've no problem with people applying for EAS for completely legitimate reasons, but the committee is just too damn soft on some.
DIY is the way to go. :P
Buy your parts from mwave, itestate, bbctech or somewhere local that's cheap.

Usually, with the exception of such games as Tribes 2, Some RTS's like Starcraft and Unreal Tournament (Although that does have a lot of SP content), i'll buy a game for it's single player content, and just get the multiplayer content as a side-dish.
